Released today, proceeds going to Tonic Music For Mental Health: I'm preferring it to James Blakes Atmosphere, I wouldn't want to own a copy but then BM is one of those songs that I don't really want to hear a version of other than the original or 88 version.
Not a cover, but I always thought the Jam & Spoon Andrea Mix from '95 was quite good. It sounds far less like a dub pastiche than this rendition.
The Brain mix from '95 is fun also.
With regards to Tonic Music For Mental Health, Keith Flint is mentioned in the NME article but I dread to think how a lot of musicians are coping with what has gone on for the last year or so with no idea of when they can earn a wage paying shows, not helped by a government that basically doesn't give a shit and can only give advise along the lines of going out and learning a new trade. A: that is an insult and B: its not like anyone can go out and learn in the workplace until this is finally over so just have to suffer in silence.
