i had 4 of the 9 colors of procession already

(i have 2 extra green covers for some reason)...

and am finally getting some of the rest.

anybody else have some (or willing to trade).

have

brown green (3) purple red

getting

yellow black (italian) blue (spain) bluish (portugal)

missing

aquamarine (UK) blue (UK) black (UK) orange (UK) blueish (new zealand) yellow (US) would be nice to have also.

it's interesting how some of the foreign ones have slightly different colors.

also, i know more colors were made for the US, but i haven't seen those listed either.

Under normal circumstances, I would think that Saville producing multiple different variants of the same sleeve was excessive, pointless and cynical. However, I really don’t think it was done to make money.

Also, as this sleeve is one of my favourites, and it looks great in every colour, I always let it slide. 😁

I only have the red one (hence my avatar) but have been tempted to get others at various times in my life. I have a friend who has them all (including non-UK ones).

do you know if there were actually all 9 colors released in the US.

only the yellow one is listed on discogs.

ok guys, i am either blind, or senile or both.

i just dug these out after a decade, and looking at them i only have 1 green one, and 2 aqua ones... sheesh. i thought they were faded, or a different shade... need to get my eyes checked.

I thought i had 3 green procession - everythings gone green,

i only had 1, and 2 aqua colored ones? I thought it was just a different

shade, or faded.

Beside i haven't dug these out in a decade.

Yes, i have 3 ceremonies. That's what happens when you buy lots on ebay,

you end up with duplications.

Now, the 3 temptations, 2 are original, and 1 is the re-release from 2009:

https://www.discogs.com/New-Order-Temptation/release/1822589

New Order ‎– Temptation Label:Rhino Custom Products ‎– Fac 63, Rhino Custom Products ‎– fac 63Format:Vinyl, 7", Reissue, 33 ⅓ RPM, SingleCountry:USReleased:2009Genre:RockStyle:Indie Rock

Tracklist A Temptation 5:16

B Hurt 4:42

Total Time: 9:58

=========================

  • Getting - light blue - portugal, darker blue - spain, yellow - UK, black - italy

So that leaves

====================

Uk - Blue, Black, Orange

US - Yellow would be nice

Foreign - New Zealand (dark blue on light blue)

I thought I remembered someone at the time saying the Temptation '09 release vinyl sounded different than the original...can you detect a difference?

ordered the UK blue one, so

Uk - Black, Orange

US - Yellow would be nice

Foreign - New Zealand (dark blue on light blue)

There's a french one too, but its regular blue, and hasn't come up before.

coming down the stretch.

Now have 7/9 UK colors

aqua brown red yellow blue green purple

I have orange on order, should be here in a bit.

and as a bonus

foreign

black - italian lightish blue - spain

and pale blue - from portugal on order.

missing: new zealand, blue on bluish

there are 4 different colored ones on ebay, but i have never seen a UK Black one come up, so that might take a long time.

also, discogs now has 4 different US colored listed (but none for sale), previously they only had yellow.

will post a picture once they're all here.

well, 2 months later, i have 8/9 of them ... which is about as much as i'll find for now. but i ended up getting 3 non-UK ones too...

top row - aqua duplicate, portugese, spain. i don't have the black UK one, so i put the black italian one in there....

i have one more on order, its from portugal, its a mislable, misprint:

and so the 2 month journey comes to an end.

just placed an order for the black color cover today.

(it's not the one on ebay going for $100, it's one that was much cheaper on discogs).

so i got lucky on it.

i still need to get 3 foreign pressings, but i'm not sure they will ever show up, france, and new zealand. but the spain misprint i will get.

if a US one ever shows up that will be nice.

but it's good to complete the UK set at some point.

well, this time i'm not wrong.. i mean, this time i'm done with the UK 9.

turns out that black one i thought i had, wasn't. they sent me another brown one.

well, a black one did really turn up, and my friend duncan bought it for me.

so here they are again..

theres still a spanish misprint, a french one, and an ausralasian one to find someday.....

Very nice. Congrats!

That black one looks a lot brighter than the others.

the one in the far upper left is the black UK one. in the single picture, the lighting is brighter, but its the same textured sleeve as the other ones.

the black on white cover is the italian one: https://www.discogs.com/release/796932-New-Order-Procession-Everythings-Gone-Green

Ah. Got ya. I was mistaking that bottom right one for the UK version.

Seeing all yours laid out like that, I am tempted. Maybe I ought to try and track down copies myself.

Also, was kind of hoping that Procession/Everything's Gone Green was reissued, alongside the Ceremony, EGG, Temptation 12"s. It seems a shame that they've not included it in the reissue programme. Maybe we might get a 7" box set at some point. I'd love one of those.

They're usually going for about £20 each, so no.

3 3 likes

finally found the french version in great shape. (theres another one on discogs, they don't come up often)

so, i still need a few more

new zealand - missed it last year

3 from portugal - including a misprint the other two have variant labels

uk white label (will never come up though)

us version (any color) - not likely to come up

but will be framing the previous ones to.

so that makes all 9 uk (need to replace 2 for better covers), italian, french, and spain.

Looking good.

I'm pretty envious of the sleeves. I've only got the red one and I really should remedy that at some point. As I've said many times before, it really is one of my favourites of Saville's work (hence my avatar).

OK There, now i'm done (again).

italy, french, portugal, and misprints and US ones (although they are UK, with a sticker, thats all).

what a relief, now if i ever find that one from new zealand, then i could really relax.

That's a great collection. Looks even more impressive framed.

I only have a yellow one:

I have all the UK colours and most of your others. Also have NZ.

I’m missing the US “imports”.

Do you a deal? You look out for any more US copies and I’ll look out for another NZ. More likely to find one in these parts.

Thought I had all the UK ones apart from the Yellow one which mine has New Order printed in left hand corner. Turns out that my colour blindness means my supposed ĜREEN one is actually a faded BLUE. But as I only collected by the old way of either finding in a record shop or mates giving me theirs I refused to buy one online. As my collection will eventually be put a landfill it doesn't really matter.😎

thanks to depthcharge,

2 years after the last one sold on discogs, he was able to source the super rare new zealand version for me.

i thought it was a mythical record. but here it is.

due to construction in my house, i had to take down my new order staircase display, but it will be back at some point.

looking forward to adding this to it... (now if i can only find a US version)....

so 9 months after the house was fixed up... and getting the rare new zealand one... and throwing in a few US ones..

this might be the 'FINAL' version of procession on the stairs.. still need the white label, i guess..

french, italian, and spanish and misprint are in there, besides the 9 UK ones..
