Well, title says it all.

I have no rare gem, those are the only 3 things I can think of:

Monaco - See Saw 12" New Order - Run 2 New Order - Touched by the Hand of God CD New Order - Way of Life 12" Promo (broken unfortunatly)

Guess nothing is that rare in that list..!!

Get Ready on vinyl ? Man, it was widely available (not in as heavy quantites as when they released vinyls ten years ago) but it is still in print. I've got one.

I've got the Flexi, the Flickerbook, the tutti Frutti Brazilan LP and some other stuff too :D

I wasn't being entirely serious N21 but they were quite scarce over here and didn't come out until about 6 weeks after the c.d. release.

That's funny, the 3x12" promo of the US tour with Echo/Gene I own is NOT a cd. A 12" RECORD of New Order's TRUE FAITH (album and album edit versions) is coupled with Gene Loves Jezebel & Echo & the Bunnymen records.

This was from the 1987 Substance tour and I attended the last date listed on the back of the promo sleeve- 9/18 Berkeley. They added a second night in Berkeley (9/19) that I wish I would have gone to instead as New Order headlined. 9/18 had Echo closing the show.

Hey, when I opened the promo to check it out, I found another souvenir from the tour inside. It's a 10" flexi that has tour dates on one side and a song from each band on the other. Shame of the Nation (7" edit) is New Order's contribution.

As far as promos go, the US ones are probably the most common in terms of quantity. But since there are lot's of overseas posters I'll brag about some of my acquisitions.

Way of Life 12" promo (Qwest). It's listed as "LP Version" but the time is listed as 3:45. LP Version is correct, time is not.

True Faith 3 track promo CDS (Qwest). Morning Sun Edit, Album Edit and Morning Sun Extended Remix.

Round & Round 4 track promo CDS (Qwest). 7" Version, Edit (edit of LP mix, unreleased I believe), 12" Version and 12" Remix.

I'll stop here before it all gets too boring.

Did anyone else out there buy the Advent Everything's Gone Green CDS? (circa 1996).

Subtitled New Adventures (har, har) it's comprised of their 4 EGG mixes that were rejected for inclusion on The Rest of...(1 was released on the Volume 15 compilation). It's not the greatest item in New Order's canon but they're much more enjoyable than the Bizarre Love Triangle Armand Van Heldon mix.

Lancaster University 14/3/85 bootleg - there's a hoax version of this flying around that is merely a compilation of other tapes, but so far I've only ever seen one other person with a genuine copy.

I suppose that the Emulator III sampler that they used when recording "Technique" in Ibiza and that now sits in my bedroom facing the wall has to be pretty high up there when it comes to the rare memorabilia stakes? What do we reckon that ones worth?

C'mon...you know you'd all love it!

Do you know "Digital Glass" bootleg? This one features the same tracklisting. 11 tracks from the "Warsaw" album, recorded at Arrow Studios in May 1978 (The Drawback, Leaders Of Men, Walked In Line, Failures, Novelty, No Love Lost, Transmission, Ice Age, Interzone, Warsaw and Shadowplay), 5 tracks from Pennine studios recorded in June 79 (These Days, Candidate, The Only Mistake, Chance and Atrocity Exhibition) and 4 tracks from Central Sound Studios recorded in July 79 (Transmission, Novelty, Dead Souls and Something Must Break).

True that.

However, one thing that bugs me is that on the "Lost Treasures" CD it says "A collection of studio outtakes digitally remastered from orginal analog tapes". The first tracks were copied directly from the grey "Warsaw" CD with the baby on it, and the last were from "Digital Glass" and have like a second cut off from the beginning of each song.

Never really been a collector (otherwise I wouldn't have sold my Ruined in a Day DigiPak featuring the Bogle Mixes to N21 years ago! :rolling: ), but I guess that, beside the various limited editions such as the 1963-95 boxcase, World ltd. edit and Spooky "z new order release", beside the Salvation soundtrack (I wouldn't consider this rare anyway), ....

... the rarest related new order item that came to my hand is the Dreams Are Over bootleg which is a 500 copies limited edition featuring the December 1983 Brixton Academy concert in which New Order created a medley of Blue Monday and Divine's Love Reaction.

That bootleg also features "Aleph", the instrumental rendition of what would later become Sooner Than You Think, and a great early version of Thieves Like Us.

Fascinating stuff, even with the crappy sound. Here's what the cover looks like:

I agree memories are priceless and worth more than any coloured vinyl or ltd ed box set to me!!

I'll never forget the first time I saw NewOrder walk on stage, and the weird yet warm 'numbness' i felt when i walked away from my first NewOrder gig (and electronic gig for that matter!)

hand on heart i can say no other band can achieve that feeling of euphoria like new order do!

I got a few rarities at home on picture vinyl and CD but i'd never dream of letting em go in a million years so the fact that they are rare is irrelavent to me!

OK, I hate to do this to you all, but... Apart from

Bedford Boys Club poster & ticket Letter from Bernard telling me that 'Our new name is POSSIBLY New Order' Republic UK Gold Award JD acetates & several JD/ NO gig posters JD tickets/ autographs & a few others

I don't appear to have that much of interest.

Incidentally, Mr Rocket Mick if you really DO need a brown FAC53, contact me - I have one to spare. (I've never seen a WHITE one though - anybody?)

Don't know if you have a scanner at home, but if you do, some of the items listed above would be nice additions to the image gallery of this site! :)

I had to pay £8 just to get the FLEXI...to have those 3x12 inch records aswell is great.

Hey Mick you got the 3 x 12" '87 USA promo pack as well? - good lad.

Some Bunnyman freak offered to buy this off me about 10 years ago and I told him not to be so silly. He'd only eat it with his goofy teeth alongside cabbage and carrots.

Not sure I have this flexi ... sounds just sweet.

If you got the CD the tracklisting is the same as disc 2. The thing about it is that was labeled with the translated titles (in spanish). But the sound quality is quite poor, really. The cover is black with white letters (same design as 1987 but adding "II" down the word substance)

And I´m not doing any more polls!!!!! I understood :dotdotdot:

Just repeating what's on the label.

I think a compilation of singles can be considered an album. My rationale is that they were distinguishing it from the remix. The Substance version was not issued on 12" single in the U.S., only the remixes were, hence it was (to Qwest) the "Album Version".

MATTHEW excellent stuff here.I think that TBTHoG is NOT A photo frame. It is just a three inch CD that the package has not be made up.This i own and also bought REM's AT MY MOST BEAUTIFUL to practice making the case up.But i have bootled out.If you know that it DEFINELY makes a photo case then that is great...but i doubt it.Have you tried to make it or is it still as NEW? The BLT is another favourite of mine!Has it got a sticker on it.Great photo in the gatefold...only paid £2=50p for it from KEY MAIL ORDERin '92.Cheap as chips..:D

Yep, the TBTHOG 3" CD is definitely a photo frame - cause it comes with instructions. My Japaenses is, well, not good - but the pictures I understand. It has 4 illustrated pictures of how to make the frame along with a this plastic backing grid to support it.

My BLT metalic gatefold 7" has a sticker on the front (FAC 26 blah blah). The photo inside is a good one and I have seen it before in the paper - I think it is from the States 1983 or 1984. Does your 7" have an old style large hole for the record spindle requiring an adaptor to make it work?

Also, forgot to mention I have Hooky's worst interview ever in my bootleg collection somewhere. I doubt anyone else would have this now, but it was from 1982 and he must have just hoped off the plane in New Zealand after after the long flight cause he was shitty as hell. Mind you, the interviewer was a complete twat!

Has anyone got the gatefold TBTHOG (Fac 193) CD single which contains TBTHOG, Confusion Dub '87 and Temptation? Have not seen that version of Confusion Dub '87 before and it's bloody good - got some strong guitar in it. Easily the best version of Confusion about, and a completely different sound too. Must have come out of the Substance period???

Don't feel bad! Most of my NO stuff (and record collection) came from working p/t in a used record store. LWTUA was bought only because I'd heard that Ian died and I wanted to hear what JD sounded like and it was recommended to me.

I can't imagine having the collections the rest of you have!!!! They are truly BRILLIANT!!!!!

:D:D:D:D:D anita, whose Jam collection is very cool...

Well, technically it's a JD item, but it is:

"Here Are The Youngmen" appx. 70 mins (?) VHS (IKON) Several live performances of JD, including (at the very end of the tape) the original promo video for LWTUA.

I also have a couple of the same items that were mentioned by others (New Order "Peel Sessions" CD from 1990, several 12" singles, etc.), and I am proud to have finally found this after a long search (for me, any way)...

"Taras Schevchenko" Live at the Ukranian National Hall, 1982

(Please note, these aren't the exact credits, as I am typing them down from what I can recall...just call me a lazy git! :P)
