Wow.They just can't stay away from the U.S, can they. Bernard obviously got pissed off sitting at home in the unremitting grim bleakness that is the English winter and decided fuck it, let's jet off back to the states again.

They're likely playing the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas. These other dates are just added on to make the trip over more financially viable. Their SXSW date would be in the gap between San Antonio and Houston, but the Festival lineup hasn't been announced yet.

It all feels a bit corporate. Gone are the days of Hull, Sunderland, Portsmouth etc. I suppose they've earned it but would be nice to see them in non-arena type venues or outdoors.

Yes, it's a big machine. Too late now to scale back, considering the big production and crew required to make everything happen. Who knows, maybe their still trying to make their money back on all that gear, considering the pandemic shutdown.

I feel guilty for not feeling the usual rush of excitement when U.S. gigs are announced. It really hasn't been that long since the shows I attended in October. I'm a bit perplexed as to why they've not done more UK gigs lately. I can only imagine the SXSW offer was just too good to refuse, so they padded it with these other gigs. I really hope for everyone's sake that they're lining up more gigs elsewhere (UK, Europe, South America, etc).

Yeah, my bad, Andy. 😉

I did consider it, but it’d just be me and the tumbleweed over there.

tickets are going on sale for some of the shows.

snagged one for now. who knows how much longer they will tour, or when they might come back to these parts.

Sorted tickets for the New Orleans gig.

I've already booked a hotel, now I just need to figure out travel plans. I chose the gig that's the furthest from me! I've been to Texas but never New Orleans (or anywhere in Louisiana), so that was the deciding factor. Austin would be cool but I just want a New Order gig, not a multimedia/corporate seminar/festival extravaganza.
