How many of you think it would have been a MUCH BETTER IDEA to release "Substance 2002" than International?

With the following tracklisting:

Blue Monday 88 (12" Mix) Fine Time (Silk Mix) Round & Round (Extended 12" Mix) Run (12" Mix) World In Motion (Whatever mix) Regret (Fire Island Mix) Ruined in a Day (Reunited in a day remix) World (The Price of Love) (Perfecto Mix) Spooky (Magimix) True Faith 94 (Perfecto Remix) Nineteen63 (Arthur Baker Remix) Crystal (Lee Coombs Remix) 60 Miles An Hour (Supermen Lover Remix) Here To Stay (Felix Da Housecat Mix)

And the 2nd CD...

Beach Buggy Don't Do It Best & Marsh MTO World In Motion (The B-Side) Vicious Circle Let's Go Brutal Behind Closed Doors Sabotage Player in the League Such a Good Thing

That would have been a MUCH better compilation (as for the remixes.. remember Substance 87 was the 12" versions, so it's hard to pick which version should be there..)

how about a rerelease of the old Substance 1987, with CD times almost 80 minutes now they could have the full Perfect kiss and Shellshock, and have both Cries and Whispers and Mesh. maybe they could make it a 4 CD Substance set, which could stretch out and include all the early singles, some early Peel sessions, as well as include all the more essential later singles, with a few choice remixes from 90s that stand out of the pack, all in one nice 4 CD package... wait, what am i thinking! that would be a 4CD boxset, and that OBVIOUSLY would not work, they most have thought of that already... doh!

hell, most of you would still complain

:nono: And what about Touched By The Hand Of God? :nono:

Agree totally, it would probably sell much more than International will. But hands up who hasn't already made a "Substance 2" of their own....I know I have.

grrrrrrrrrr...the Supermen Lover's Mix of "60 mph"? Do you wanna torture me? If there should be any (re)mix of this track, then please the "David Kahne"-mix from the "20 years of..."

There should be a Transmission mix of 60mph. Listen to the silence......

I miss the sound of run-off grooves on all these CDs.

Why can't they incorporate them to appease those who aren't hi-tech suckers?

:(

Hmm, but I already have most of that...(and are you quite sure about wanting that Godawful superman lovers mix of 60mph? I'd rather have the recall#2 mix from "20 years of new order" [just noticed I'm not the only person here with that opinion - well consider it seconded])

Me, I want the True Faith Morning Sun/Dub mix on cd, all 10 minutes of it. And the Caribinieri(?) mix of WIM. And TPK full version. And the 7" of temptation. And the full subculture 12" (even if I am the only person that likes it), and the two sabres mixes of regret, and...well, basically all the vinyl thats sitting in a cardboard box 100 miles away from where I now live (most likely never to be played again) in proper digital versions.

Don't want to torture you, but the concept of Substance is to put the 12" versions :-)

I agree of course....!

How about those engraved words/one liners near the run-off grooves on the vinyl.....maybe they should do the same on the inner ring of the CDs....Get Ready can have the line '..keep it coming.' or Technique - ' Nothing in this world can touch the music I heard.'.....
