Love Vigilantes Live!

I was listening to bootlegs from 85 recently and came across an excellent version introduced as a country and western song with a killer guitar intro before the drums. I forgot the date but has anyone else noticed this unique intro? Does a studio recording exist with this alternate beginning? It reminds me of the intro to As It Is..but with the Love Vig guitar part up front.
