Id like to start this thread for us here stateside to try to swap info on getting the ltd edition Retro set or Finsbury dvd.
Since it seems our pals in the UK and elsewhere seem to have alot more access to these, I thought I would get some dialog goin so we here in the states can help each other out.
I, of course, would love to get one of the 3,000 ltd edition Retro sets. I just looked it up on Amazon and all it says is: Retro [BOX SET] [EXTRA TRACKS] Its $60 bucks, which sounds about right for a box set. BUt I'm skeptical to trust a co. as big as Amazon to know for sure if this will be one of the sets with the ltd edition bonus cd. Does anyone know if this IS the one with the bonus cd
for sure??
Also, I was surprised to see Finsbury can be easily purchased at CD now for $24.95, especially since i have yet to see it at any local chain music stores like Best Buy. They say thats %30 off the normal price by the way. I am ordering mine today.

is it possible that the US release of Retro will just be imported copies of the UK release? would this mean that the bonus disk maight be included with some copies of the US release? this is all so frustrating. i really want the box set but will be less inclined to buy it without the bonus disk. i'm also concerned that there is no info available on whether the tracks were remixed or not. urrgh!!

i Pre-ordered my finsbury DVD from hmv in canada (hmv.ca)for 36.99 canadian dollars with shipping included so its probably around $26 u.s. they have pre orders for Retro as well but i forget how much

what with all these pre-orders, it sounds like 3,000 copies is probably already gone. Unless that was 3,000 for the UK. will the US get its own number of ltd edition sets? anyone heard anything? and do u think ur canadian order is going to be one of the ltd edition copies with the bonus cd?

amazon uk don't seem to know anything about it. I'm wondering whether to cancel my amazon pre order and go with hmv... but then they are charging more...
HMV lowered the price of the Finsbury Park to Cdn21.99 (14.47US)
I think that is a good price so I will order it!
Retro is Cdn$54.99 (US$36.18) but I dont know if It has a bonus CD, so I will wait

www.sirendisc.com has the Canadian version of the Finsbury DVD for about $25 US.
They also have Retro listed as a UK import. I've asked them to see if they can get some w/ the bonus disc.
anyone else know any domestic online co.'s to order from? Ive tried cdnow and amazon, cant think of any others but theres got to be more than that available here stateside.

I just pre-ordered a copy of RETRO from Amazon.com, which lists it as having "extra tracks". I have checked their return policy and as long as the item is unopened it may be returned. If it arrives without the extra recordings I will simply return it unopened. Since this is the USA release, the extra tracks may be included on one of the 4 discs instead of a separate CD, unlike the UK version. Shipping is free and if you give them the email address of another New Order fan you know, THEY will get a discount if they order it. Better than missing the boat altogether!
Ok, I ordered Finsbury from hmv.ca for $21.99, but my pre-order still says $30.99??? Will they lower the price automatically?? 
CDuniverse.com has Retro pre-order for $42.48 USD, which is about as cheap as its going to be i would assume... the Rhino US version of Heart and Soul doesnt go for much cheaper than $56, so i'm not sure why people think these boxsets are going to be cheaper stateside...
and it is VERY easy to order from HMV UK or Amazon UK or Opalmusic.com directly if you have a VISA card or Mastercard, they convert the currency automatically (i've tried to figure out how much the credit cards have charged for the currency conversion and it is not very much at all, less than 50 cents at most) and is actually in some cases cheaper than the domestic versions, even imported.
and i have imported music a dozen times, without any problems or delays. i've ordered from Warp.com records and gotten CDs 7 days after ordering, normal airmail.
this may be a dumb question, but if i order from a UK website, does this mean i'll get the box set shipped to me from the UK release date? I mean, if thats the case, ill try ordering it from HMV UK instead of amazon.

Just go to advance orders, type in "Twenty Four Hour Party People" and it should pull it up (I think). Let me check that, actually....

Crap, I can't pull it up! I tried "24 Hour Party People", "Twenty Four Hour Party People", neither work. I don't know what else to do. I'm sorry, this sucks.....

i e-mailed them and they assured me that it would be automatically lowered
Unfortunately HMV only has stores in 4 different states in the US (Georgia, NY, Mass. and Ohio). So if the limited edition 5th CD makes it to the US through HMV they won't be widely available to most of us.
As I posted on the main thread, Sirendisc.com is advertising the 5 disc limited edition for $52.99. This is a U.S. operation.
They also show Finsbury.

Borders.com (which is part of Amazon.com now I guess) has it at $59.98 with "Extra Tracks", very ambiguous...
Barnes and Nobles.com at $56.98 (no word of the bonus disc)
I don't wanna order it w/out the bonus disc, but I want one before they all are gone! :\ohwell:
