NewOrderOnline.com and Blue Cat are offering all NewOrderOnline members the chance to win an official Get Ready Tour Jacket (from the Koln concert).

All you need to do is to answer the following (easy if you ask me) question:

Who was the guest guitarist that 'replaced' Gillian Gilbert for most of the Get Ready tour concerts New Order did?

No, I don't mean Billy Corgan.. :D

The jacket is size small, so it's only going to fit someone upto 38" chest.

To enter the contest, visit the NewOrderOnline menu up there, the contest section.. I will to a banner soon.

The contest ends December 2nd, so hurry up!

Don't worry, your vote will be overwritten with this system, it's actually for dual accounts, not dual submission ;)

Jeff, there is always a catch ;)

Sorry, but that's what we managed to get, it's for collectors mostly, not to wear it!

BTW, stay tuned, we have at least 3 other competitions pending :p

So, remind us how the winners of this competition are chosen?

Randomly?

Considering that the last competition was for tickets to see New Order in Paris, and anyone here who actually wanted to go to Paris was already going, and considering that the winners were people who'd never even posted here before, then please remind me how this actually works?

How on earth do you pull a random e-mail 'out of a hat' so to speak??

The "New Order, Sugarcubes & Public Image Ltd." tour jacket I got was small too?! lots of midgets on their crew perhaps?

I admit Al, but even with the Paris competition, I had to draw a name 3 times because the winner was unable to make it.

I must say I considered doing it for our regular, but after all, this is a competition to promote Blue Cat too, you know the drill..

Usually, I have a software that gives me a number between 1 and the amount of entry, then I pick the Xth entry, as simple as that.

Ask Jeff White, he won TWO TIMES with this system!! He's a lucky texan! ;)

Besides, if I may add to what Nic has already told Al, there are much more members of NewOrderOnline than those who post on these forums, and I see no reason to ignore them.

A lot of people will only come to check up the news, and not for chit-chatting.

On the other hand, many regulars on the forum here have linked to it directly and NEVR visit other sections of the website, in which we have put our heart and efforts into (the Tours & Concerts section, for instance).

Nothing wrong with that either by the way! It's just to show that the contests are for all registered members.

Seb.

P.S. But I'll agree, Al, that it's a bit stressful to think that someone who's been a member for three days might win the thing instead of all the "old timers" around here. :nonono:

P.P.S. I've thought about doing a competition reserved for the regular posters and older members here, but that would bring other problems -- on what criterias should we base that? On the number of posts? That would be nonsense because it would only encourage people to post hundreds of meaningless one liners. On the other hand, it's not because someone has been registered here for a year that he's been an active user.

If you have a better idea, please tell !

My idea: just make me the winner in all comps, it saves all the hassle.

:dotdotdot: that jacket couldn´t even fit in one arm of mine!!! but if I win I´d give it my girlfriend. then I could look at it always by obligating her to wear it even on summer! :evil4:

I'm 5 feet tall. (Yes, I'm small) The jacket will fit to me very well. :D

And the winner is!

Yes, you've been waiting for this one, and among 101 entries (only, I'm kind of sad we only had 101 entries.. well I know it was a small size one), my random number generator selected the 4th entry.

The answer to the question was Phil Cunningham, a few people said Billy Corgan, but that was not the right answer, you should have know better!

And who is #4?

Yes, the winner is... Steve "Major Tarantino" Turner...

Congratulations.. I'll send him a mail and send your address to Blue Cat.

Thanks everyone for your participation.
