Huh... There's so many of them...

But I really REALLY hate Phil Collins...

Any Boy/Girl bands who chatter inanely and produce, over produced shite. There is a group in the UK at the moment called AllShite or Allstars or sommat and they have done a version of Is there Something I should Know by Duran Duran. Now although Duran are my other fave band, most fans can recognise that this song was somewhat of a "slip" in their song producing ability. But these bastard "happy smiley" twats have slaughterd it..... please please tell me now.... indeed!

I hate all that american "Im so hard, i wear baggy trousers and talk about slapping my mother" kind of crap. I dont understand it, nor do i want to and i certainly dont know any of the names of the bands, i think it would be degrading to lower myself in such a way...lol

As for other people choices so far, good choices, I hate singers who sound like they can sing! You know! LIke Mariah carey, Whitney Houston and the worst offender of all Cleine Dion. I like voices like Barney, Simon Le Bon, Debbie Harry, Chrissy Hynde, Dolores O'Riordan, voices that really sing, not just practice a scale. But i hate to admit it, I do like The Manics and Stereophonics and Catatonia, but i think thats got more to do with me being Welsh...

My reason for disliking Mariah Carey is not because she can sing but rather because she's an obnoxious totally self-absorbed egomaniac.

Same reason I hate 'the Manics'. plus they shout their mouths off about politics which they clearly know nothing about. For example..thinking Castro was a good bloke...

Stereophonics have done some good stuff-but what was that last album all about? :nonono: Bring back 'Boy in photograph','Bartender+the thief' etc... Catatonia were ok as well

The last album was nowhere near as good as the previous two, but it still rocked, I loved "Have a nice day". I saw them in July at Donnington Park, they totally rocked! And again, reinforcing my point earlier, Kelly Jones doesnt have a marvellous voice, but it says so much, he rocks! and he's Welsh....what more can a girl ask for....

I'm gonna take on the big ones, no boy bands or Vanilla Ice wannabes for me, thank you very much. My wrath is pointed at:

Although I do hate boy bands and I get violently sick everytime I listen to (nay, I hear) Mariah, Celine et al.I think that for the real connoiseur a really bad band must: A) Play Rock B) Be pretentious C) Be "relevant"

So here goes my list:

  1. Manic Street Preachers
  2. Oasis
  3. Queen
  4. McCartney and Wings
  5. Dire Straits

Michael Jackson, Whitney, the whole Destiny's Child complex, and anyone in any way involved with promoting the career of Diane Warren will be eliminated in the new music revolution.......or perhaps relegated to the back bin of mediocrity in your local Sam Goody, I hope

Curious title for this thread : "least favorite".

I mean, we don't speak about less favorites but most hated artists...

Somehow, I find it more interesting to point our fingers at artists who enjoy a certain credibility thant at boys bands or Mariah Carey.

Of course, they're crap. But, no offense, I dont find it very interesting to name all the "artists" that people with a little taste hate.

You see what I mean ?

If you say you hate Radiohead (that I personnaly like, btw), then we get somewhere.

That's my opinion anyway...

Liv, are you shocked because you agree or because you disagree?

I quite like big Chaka Khan. I would willingly entertain her for the evening with a view to receiving oral pleasures. During my imminent climax I would point my staff at her eye and release the goodies forthwith.

I'm talking Chaka Khan circa 1983 here, before you all think I'm a strange manimal.

sshhh Hibbsy, its not really a hire car.. its a smokescreen. i'm really inside a plant.

I'm confused, is it a plant or a smokescreen now? or is a smokescreen an exotic sort of plant hitherto unbeknownst (I've come over all shakespeare then, imagine that etc) to us earth dwelling types?

Limp Biscuit are such an easy target, but I might as well put in my two cents worth: They're appallingly bad as performers, Fred Durst couldn't sing hsi way out of that toilet in Trainspotting, and they come from Florida, the land that gave us "Duh-bya" for Pres. Nuff said, thank you and goodnight, god bless...

Let's not swim in these waters Humberto, in case we have to swim there for a long time. There are many sharks in Cuban waters as I am sure you know and I am not a particularly stong swimmer.:smoking:

Let's not forget the myriad of small jellyfish that occupy the northern coast of England. They can cause untold damage to a human leg if they haven't eaten for a few days.

I was once struck by a jelly rat and it did stung us for ages.

My dog, Sam, once caught a big Jellyfish off the coast of LLaddudno in Wales. It was already dead but I did have a lot of fun bouncing stones of it. It was like chucking stones off a block of rubber. Excellent stuff.

Article in Mojo about New Order mentions Gerry Aand the Holograms being and influence on Blue Monday. Hooky denies having heard it.

Hmmmm think someone might have, only mention I could see on here about it.

Burt Bacharach will be proud not to find Depeche Mode, Simple Minds or a-ha mentioned on this thread.

I heard it quoted by the broadcaster David Heane that Morrisey once said: "There must be a worse band than Modern Romance, but I can't think of one". Then Black Lace came along. And who could ever forget Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers.

Personally, I don't like the way Liam Gallagher's baby-screaming-like voice can connect with the lager-louts of this world. One good reason why NEVER to smoke...

I love ranting about bands I hate, so here I go:

-Beyonce :Nothing appealing about this woman at all. 'Oh, but she can SING!'; maybe, still boring and generic. Plus, her 'empowerment' schtick is ridiculous. Can not stand her. Could say the exact same thing for Christina Aguilera.

-50 Cent

-The Black Eyes Peas

-Jessie J :'Price Tag' literally makes me feel ill

-TuNe-YarDs or whatever the hell she's called
