True Faith for sure! That video is pure art. I remember Hooky on the Canadian Much Music saying they wanted to go on vacation so they just told the director to make a dance video, and that is what they got. Hooky was very proud his foot made the video.

Round & round is the next best. I want to see the Patti version some day.

World is cool, Spoooky is great. Regret is a feel good video. And Crystal is just crap. Perfect Kiss is boring to me, I dont see what the big deal is.

And the clips from TBTHOG are from the B movie "Salvation"!

I think I might be biased towards Crystal just because of having seen the others too often. But I thought it was nice that it obliquely acknowledged they're getting on a bit.

Has to be TPK, for its minimalist aesthetic and a lot of close-ups of young Bernard.

Out of those choices i went for Regret, but my fave is actually BM 95.

Originally posted by Ian Schmidt By the way, what is the Blue Monday 83 video? It's not the Top of the Pops performance, right? Thus, is it a real music video? Can anyone describe it, for I've never heard of it before.

Is this the one with all the random graphics and people marching and stuff?

Isn't it the original one with the dog ? It's a well-known dog, too.

The dog-clip is BM88, and the random-figures clip is BM95, as far as I know.

:bm88:

I've never seen an 83 video of BM... however, our NOOLer -1 has put on his site a MP3 of the "Video Version" of Blue Monday for download. It is an edit with a fading end.

:bm83:

But, once again, never seen or heard the video. I also don't think it even exists, or it would be on Substance or Best of videos. Peolple must be talking about the TOTP appearance.

The video for Blue Monday was made in the Spring of 1983 by Malcolm Whitehead and Stephen Morris. It can be seen on the 1985 compilation Factory Shorts.

I agree with everything said here about TPK. I love how you get to see them performing it live. It's such a good version too, unlike that live clip of "Blue Monday" which was a little anemic.

Another vote fer Touched, I agree with the others who said it was funny as fuck, anything that rips the piss out of them horrible "Soft Rock" yanks is good enough fer the Shugster, having said that, True Faith isnae far behind.....and while I'm at it, I've always loved the Run video an all.

Biggest laugh I had on this thread was 1963 being listed as a potential best video clip:lol: It's nearly as bad as Fine Time!
