I have entered a topic about this, which some people may find interesting, but I would like to know which of the two versions other NEW ORDER fans prefer.
Let me know!

The US version for me. I have both but I like the fact that the US one has Let's Go and the 'guitary' version of 1963 as well as AOC, DNE and LV on it. The UK version is a fine intro to New Order, but has nothing really compelling for established NO fans on it (otherwise called "International Syndrome"), save for a few updated tweaked remixes.

US-Version because of "Let's Go" and the Arthur Baker Mix of "1963". The mix of "1963" on the European-version is awful, totally butchered.
Thats a good call!
I don't like the UK version of 1963 at all, but the US version is SPOT ON!!
KEEP EM COMING MY GOOD COLLEAGUES!!!!!!

It's looking pretty convincing at the moment!
Keep them coming!!
I have to say, DREAMS NEVER END is a brilliant song, so in my opinion it does deserve a spot on the BEST OF album!

The US version is better in so many ways, many of which pppl have already listed. However, US best-of doesn't have Perfect Kiss. :(
The US label wisely altered the tracklisting for 2 reasons:
The UK edition was released much earlier, and had been available in the US as an import for some time.
They made efforts to distinguish it from Substance. I recall a press release from Warner Bros. stating that no tracks from the 1987 compilation were duplicated. It's true, songs that appear on both are different versions.
One thing I like about the UK version is the deeper shade of blue on the front cover. The US version's color is a little too light and makes me a little sick to look at! =)
US version, which I got my mum to buy when she went to the US recently. US version doesn't torture me with Thieves Like Us and Shellshock.
I have the UK one but it always disappointed me. I got only three "new" songs - BM 88, TBTHOG and World In Motion - back then (1994). If I had "Let's Go" then!!(which I heard for the first time on Retro only).
I had to vote for the UK version (which is also the Canadian version) because it was the first NO CD I bought and I still remember letting it play through and wondering, "What IS that good song?" when it got to "Perfect Kiss".
I dont' have the US version but I think it would complement the UK version very well as a 2-disc set. But it has an uglier cover.
