Although we're wetting our lips at the prostpect of that fifth bonus disc, the fact that discs 1-3 contain so much already obtainable New Order material does have one advantage... It means all of those rare vinyl releases and obscure CD single mixes I've tracked down over the last fifteen years still feel rare and exclusive.
Now, I'd love to get remastered copies of all the seven inch versions and hard to find vinyl on CD, but for now I still get an immense pleasure removing the big black slabs of vinyl from their colourful Peter Saville sleeves and playing them on my 1210! I'm sure if the boxed set had got absolutely everthing onto CD, I'd still be tracking down the oriniginal releases, trying to complete my massive collection.
That's half the fun of it, isn't it?
