James Brown, The Editor of JACK, is a big New Order fan so I reckon he just might have indulged himself & taken that interview for himself. Just before JB launched his first lads-mag 'Loaded' in '93, he saw the Order at Reading & surveying the audience said that this was his target market for Loaded - students & football hooligans. He then won fame for classically getting fired from Jewish owned 'GQ' for publishing pics of Nazis in a piece on style icons of the 20th century. Cretin.

JACK is the best mag for geezers out there, I made an annual subscription after the first issue. If you do nothing else read 'letters from a complete time waster'. Piss funny.

Funnily enough, I had a look their subscription page yesterday. But it was out of date - it started with last month's edition free, but obviously I'd already bought that earlier.

First lad's mag I've read in donkey's years (mind, think it was you who turned me on to it on one of our summer jaunts with the Order, Mr Giles, sir).

Er, quite possibly. When I really like something I have this unattractive habit of boring the tits off people talking about it. Until they go and buy it.

I think if you phone the subs line they'll sort you out the next addition free. They all seemed pretty human when I spoke to them.
