CDNow becomes Amazon..!

I agree. That's very bad news. CDNOW had a lot of useful information. By comparison, Amazon is garbage.
I hope this don't affect my two orders at CDNow (Finsbury and 24Hpp). I know CDNow has an option of check or money order for those of us too idiotic to be trusted with a credit card (the main reason I signed up). Oh well, suppose Amazon will clutter the site with helpful hints from Martha Stewart or some other bullshit....
a lot of CDNow's info was from ...
some other good music resources...
http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/
http://www.trouserpress.com/ (not kept up to date anymore)
CDnow had become VERY expensive anyway, a ripoff, try CDuniverse.com instead, much better prices with similar selection, and i've always had good service
less competion for Amazon.com.... is it just me or does Amazon search function just plain suck!?! i mean, are they ever going to update how to browse thru an artist or author? they even have clothes now from Lands End, same prices, just takes 10 times longer to find what you are looking for... this is a step forward?
expensive or not, it was a good place for sound samples and info...very handy. the cds are not free, but the service was.
The best site for US buyers to get import releases is www.sirendisc.com . The prices are low and domestic shipping is only 99 cents.
If you want to hear real audio samples of 1000's of tracks, check out the music section of www.bestbuy.com .

However, the last two items I ordered from them (International and Confusion) each took two weeks to arrive from date of shipping.
