It seems to me this is another example of avoiding controversy. Seventy mph might be considered fast, but it's too many syllables. Eighty mph probably would be considered fast, but it's also illegal. So they were stuck with sixty.
Complaints that sixty miles an hour is not fast

thank god they are not a dutch band. "100 kilometer an hour" ? no way mario
now that we've grown up together, they're all doing drugs with me
That is very true about the metric system Seb; but for distances between places, and on our motorways, us Brits still use miles instead of kilometres, so there. So in a way, Barney is just copying what everyone in Britain uses anyway, so I guess we're all out of date except Huntsman's Pringles Light. Or maybe those are out of date too, and is why he comes across as slightly bizarre in most of his postings. ![]()
60 mph on a Kawasaki Ninja with no crash helmet is plenty fast enough, thank you very much...
Not only is 60mph relatively slow, but I was alarmed to discover in the supermarket the other day that, unlike Barn implies in 'Crystal', you CAN buy honey with money! Also, I suspect Barn does want to wash his car occasionally (very cathartic). He's a stinking liar!
