Ceremony for me, what a feeling live, it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up on end, AMAZING SONG!!
This poll would be more valid if it only included songs they no longer/can't be arsed to play/have never played !

Alright, to choose one you've listed above..."Everything's Gone Green"! brilliant live track!
no sub-culture or Thieves???? ![]()
hmmm....guess I'll go with ...have to think about this one...oh...The Perfect Kiss...don't remember seeing it live...but supposedly I have...the shame...
(Gumby voice) I would like to hear......New Order.......play.....their song "World In Motion" because I......am a masochist! (pounding sides of my head with bricks)
Nah, I guess AOC....or Temptation......or TPK..........
the perfect kiss...my favourite NO song so.... followed by BLT and ceremony, oh, and i do like bouncing around to regret with the whole venue singing along.
benny...just been listening to the malvern tape....how many times did they play every second counts live???
Would have to be Age Of Consent which is my favourite New Order song. The last gig I heard it played was G-Mex in 1988 although Hooky teased us at Brixton last year.
Originally posted by M. Domingo Your Silent Face hasn't been played very much. But then again, neither has TPK! :p
You'd be surprised - both featured very heavily between 83 and now (KW1) and 84-93 (TPK). KW1 was played at most gigs in the last 18 months.
After listening to "Retro" in full last night, i'd like to hear the following LIVE:
- Lonesome Tonight
- Leave Me Alone
- Brutal (yes it works really well live
)

Too bloody often. Every second or third gig from Sept 86 to Feb 87, then on an occasional basis. I'll give you the precise figure as soon as the database is finished !
Procession, at the very end, as an encore.
There is no end to this I have seen your face But I don't recognize all these things You must have left behind

Ill second that, wot a Brutal rendition, Phils guitar playing superb, Barneys vocals, Hookys bass, Steve on drums... absolute Magic![]()

EGG would be really good updated with modern electronics (but not remixed/restructured/watered down/etc), but that would be assuming that NO care enough to do this kind of thing. Anyone know when it was last played live?
Originally posted by DoN. They released an album called Technique you know ;)I'd love to hear All The Way live :D
what??? both of my concerts that come from the Technique area sound quite...uhm...not all that good...sorry!!!

Funnily enough it's that Central London Poly version that is on Retro !

It's funny that a lot of the Technique gigs weren't that good in terms of technical proficiency - somehow the songs, so gorgeous on record, didn't translate fully into a live setting, and this is probably why they aren't in any hurry to resurrect them to the current live set.

Supposedly Andy Robinson keeps badgering 'em to play EGG again. So perhaps there's hope?

benny? procession....that hypnotic intro to the song on record was never in my experience captured live....the timing of hookys entrance was never quite right.

i know i know guys. almost my favourite track on 511 ![]()
Procession, played as the intro or the encore. Not been played for 17 or 18 years, about time I think?
I'd go for Procession, and Dreams Never End of the songs that aren't listed, they seem sort of fresh and energetic and youthful. I don't care how many times they were played before really, that would be the first time for me !
Yeah but there's no way old spoilsport Barney would ever play Procession now, he hates those 80-82 songs - they're too honest and truthful with not enough whooping potential.

Oh yes ! Procession Live !
I was always love how Barney put his lyrics
on Procession !
It was really unusual don't you think ? ![]()
And the Hooky bass line is very powerful ! ![]()
And the Hooky bass line is very powerful !
And always mistimed, thank goodness. The intro to Procession on vinyl is just too damned funereal : at least Hooky would think "sod this for a game of soldiers, I'm going in" and trash the atmosphere with a nice early bass line.
Have to say, I'm amazed at the amount of fellow Pefect Kissers on this poll :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. This is as good as it gets.

Hey. He put 'whoop!'s into In A Lonely Place didn't he? ;) Honestly my perfect setlist would be quite different from most fans' (assuming most concerts have 10 songs and the encores):
- Open up with something big, lets say The Perfect Kiss.
- Something not quite as big, let's say World (The Price Of Love).
- A little more Republic, with Special (but done right that is).
- There's no talking them out of Crystal so..
- Here To Stay would be nice already.
- Convery back to something older, like In A Lonely Place.
- And older still, with Transmission. Love that track.
- And what the Hell, let's hear ICB.
- For the fans, Temptation.
- For the die-hard fans, Procession. Encore 1. Spooky hasn't been done yet. Encore 2. Subculture has been gathering dust. Or State Of The Nation. Encore 3. Doubts Even Here, a forgotten classic and a suiting end, to mellow things down.
By the way, I'm about to change my name now as to not offend anyone any longer. :(
