It's funny that a lot of the Technique gigs weren't that good in terms of technical proficiency - somehow the songs, so gorgeous on record, didn't translate fully into a live setting, and this is probably why they aren't in any hurry to resurrect them to the current live set.

Supposedly Andy Robinson keeps badgering 'em to play EGG again. So perhaps there's hope?

benny? procession....that hypnotic intro to the song on record was never in my experience captured live....the timing of hookys entrance was never quite right.

Ill second that, wot a Brutal rendition, Phils guitar playing superb, Barneys vocals, Hookys bass, Steve on drums... absolute Magic:xmas:

You wanna hear Brutal live? Watch 511 then ;)

i know i know guys. almost my favourite track on 511

Procession, played as the intro or the encore. Not been played for 17 or 18 years, about time I think?

I'd go for Procession, and Dreams Never End of the songs that aren't listed, they seem sort of fresh and energetic and youthful. I don't care how many times they were played before really, that would be the first time for me !

Yeah but there's no way old spoilsport Barney would ever play Procession now, he hates those 80-82 songs - they're too honest and truthful with not enough whooping potential.

Oh yes ! Procession Live ! :jump: I was always love how Barney put his lyrics :read: on Procession ! It was really unusual don't you think ?

And the Hooky bass line is very powerful ! :bass:

And always mistimed, thank goodness. The intro to Procession on vinyl is just too damned funereal : at least Hooky would think "sod this for a game of soldiers, I'm going in" and trash the atmosphere with a nice early bass line.

Have to say, I'm amazed at the amount of fellow Pefect Kissers on this poll :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. This is as good as it gets.

Hey. He put 'whoop!'s into In A Lonely Place didn't he? ;) Honestly my perfect setlist would be quite different from most fans' (assuming most concerts have 10 songs and the encores):

  1. Open up with something big, lets say The Perfect Kiss.
  2. Something not quite as big, let's say World (The Price Of Love).
  3. A little more Republic, with Special (but done right that is).
  4. There's no talking them out of Crystal so..
  5. Here To Stay would be nice already.
  6. Convery back to something older, like In A Lonely Place.
  7. And older still, with Transmission. Love that track.
  8. And what the Hell, let's hear ICB.
  9. For the fans, Temptation.
  10. For the die-hard fans, Procession. Encore 1. Spooky hasn't been done yet. Encore 2. Subculture has been gathering dust. Or State Of The Nation. Encore 3. Doubts Even Here, a forgotten classic and a suiting end, to mellow things down.

By the way, I'm about to change my name now as to not offend anyone any longer. :(
