heart and soul: passover static?

sorry if this has been discussed before,searched andidnt see anything..... on disc 2,passover has a bit of nasty static at around 20-24 seconds....does anyone else note this??? thanks

Don't get me started on this... Far too many archival JD/NO releases from the last, say, five years have such static noises (or worse defects) in one or more places. I discovered this whilst compiling my very own chronological 4CD JD-singles & outtakes collection. This happened over a year ago, so I don't remember all instances exactly, but a few I can still recall (in addition to the Passover track which you pointed out): e.g. Love Will Tear Us Apart on Permanent, As You Said on Heart & Soul disc 3, Shadowplay and Insight on Les Bains Douches, and err... err... Well, there are a few more, but you get my drift, I guess.

It really surprises me that this issue isn't raised more often on JD/NO forums around the net. Granted, most of the errors only stand out while you're listening through headphones, but all the same I find this carelessness really disgraceful and unacceptable Those responsible deserve but one fate: :headoff:
