Hi everyone,
Just wondering if NewOrder ever plan on doing a tour of the entire US...not just the west coast; which is not a great musical haven anyway.... Chicago is the place that has most influenced NewOrder...Chicago is the birthplace of House Music!!!
Anyway, Has the group hinted on coming on back to the states??? It would great to know. and when????

My God...you have no clue about where house music all started!!! Sweet home Chicago!!!! Certainly not in Quebec, Canada....
I used to frequent the club, where supposedly, house music all started...it was called Medusa's and NewOrder has been quoted about house music's roots being in Chicago.
But Rob...do you really, in your heart of hearts...believe that Chicago has been the most influential city upon the beloved Order???? I mean how long had they been making music before House Music started...and other than Technique...what else have they done that sounds remotely close to house music?!?!?!?!?! I would still have to think that Manchester was probably the most influential city on the band, but hey...that's just my guess...
You are right....I just like to brag that Chicago was the birthplace for House music....

Well Rob...nothing like a little pride in your place of residence...I wish we had a little more to be proud of here in Dallas...oh wait...we gave the world Edie Brickell and her New Bohemians....You see what I mean....oh...and wasn't one of the Monkee's mom's from Dallas...what a rich musical history we have here....
What can my claim to fame be? Wales, the land of Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and Max Boyce...

Yeah, right, I have no clue where house started, YOU BET -- where were you when I was listening to Marshall Jefferson back in 1987?
Where were you when I was listening to Kenny Jammin Jason and Fast Eddie's CAN U DANCE?
And where were you when I was playing and mixing HOUSE NATION by The House Master Boyz and The Rude Boy Of House?

The kids who think that the music playing in clubs right now is house music should be digging a bit deeper BTW... ask Sebastian Luetzow about it!
