There's no decent tape of Malvern - my recording is as good as it gets, unless Hooky has a copy ! Leeds Tiffs is a good recording, as is Macc (bit loud in places though).
Benny, what is special about the two US shows you mention? Reading '89 is a favourite of mine by the way together with Hammersmith Palais and Central London Poly both from 1985. Tower Ballroom 86 is my tops as you are all well aware :D
New Orleans is just a great gig, really tight, and with a surprise in the middle of the set. It's also got pretty good sound.
Darien Lakes is an excellent set, with some of the funniest banter you'll ever hear between songs - you thought Cologne was good, this is better ! Also an encore of Do The Ostrich, and later Barney joined the Bunnymen on stage for their encore.
Cheers Benny, I have Philadelphia from the same tour when New Order headlined and Ian from the Bunneyman sang Sister Ray during the encore, not a bad gig.

The entire 87 US tour with the Bunnymen was good - some cracking gigs, vastly different sets every night with a real variety of songs. The US 85 and 86 tours were just as good for set variety - some real old gems dragged out !
Thanks Benny!
I'm just starting to collect bootlegs/live recordings as well...I've got about 10 from over the years and this really helps as I set out on my quest to gather live recordings as well.
cheers from the west coast of the USA (3:40 AM here)

Reading(89) and Hammersmith Palais(85) were both top gigs as i can semi-recall em.

Deeside never did much for me, but I suppose it's worth it just for that line in Age of Consent (which he also did in Blackpool on its debut....)

Funnily enough I had that tape on only last night whilst building a database. Pretty good show.

I found a couple of your bootlegs last night, I know for certain I have Womad 85 and Rollingstone 82, I'll be up the morra night. Tower Ballroom where Barney and Hooky start on the guy in the audience is a classic. I must mention Cologne 2001....where Barney goes banter crazy.....naked sauna's etc.....a MUST have fer fans!
