I've read about this on the Ceremony Mailing List today.
It seems people have problems when it's not in Dolby Digital...
Personnaly, the sound was A-OK here, with Dolby Digital 5.1 enabled. But I have a promo UK copy, until the Canadian edition is out.
spotnik you are a star , thanks mate - stuck it on dolby digital and its miles better cheers mate
I was hearing the same thing, I thought it was my stereo messing up. It works quite well on 5.1 though. Glad to know it's not just me.
If you run it on 5.1 and you only have a stereo amp and a pair of speakers hooked up, are you still hearing everything ? I wouldn't have thought so

I have the Japanese 511 DVD and let me tell you...the 5.1 is great! The DTS is Grreat! As for the regular old lefty & righty 2.0...sounds just fine to me. Of course, switching to the 2.0 from 5.1 means you betta turn down the funkin' volume first!!!!! But no probs here!!!!
Similar here but I thought it was intentional! I do enjoy the chunkier distorted sound, like they're rockin' out!!! One of those happy accidents...
If my prize ever arrives, I'll let you know!!
(The frustrating thing is that the Mrs bought me it for Christmas before I knew I'd won one, so that's still tantalisingly shink-wrapped, unable to be opened.)

Depends on your DVD player mate. Mine downmixes DD5.1 to DD2.0 and pumps it out of the analogue outputs if need be. Nowhere near as good as a "real" 2.0 mix or the original 5.1 though.
cheers
