I think I remember Peter Hook and Mogwai worked together, or should have, on an Arthur Baker project... Does anyone know something about this ?

It's nice that you come up with this because I had forgotten about it all -- they were supposed to work on a jewish anthem/hymn for a certain compilation and never heard of it until THIS WEEK!

I read on the NME website that Mogwai is releasing a 20 minutes one-track single of a jewish hymn. Now was Peter Hook involved? I don't know.

Anyone?

The thing is, I have the impression this is the track they were supposed to work on ("May Father MY King" is the official title, a live favorite, incredibly powerful, can't wait for the single) but I don't think it's the record they will put out as it was only recently recorded with Steve Albini.

Well, I've got the Mogwai EP. It was released on monday. 20 fabulous minutes, produced by Steve Albini with arrangements from Arthur Baker.

But no trace of good ol' Hooky
