Well, it's not postponed.. in a way :D

Received this today:

Rhino records is putting their web orders for Retro on backorder already. I preorderd the box set christmas day, and several of my friends ordered it as well, and it's on back order for them already. Rhino/TWO says it could be up to 'several' weeks before the orders are ready. They wouldn't say if the problem is with the bonus disc or the box set.

I've checked with several of the 'independent' stores that are suppose to be getting the limited edition box sets and none of them got them. (I live in Phoenix). The Virgin store here got 1 box set, Tower got 1 and the Wherehouse music stores didn't even get any. Something has to be up with the production or packaging of the boxset for this to be happening.

my retro was shipped out yesterday. the description said it had 4 CDs and 'bonus tracks'. this had better mean what i think it means! :mad2:

Just noticed on Rhino's page:

Hey Agent! Did you order your copy of RETRO from Amazon.com? Mine shipped today also with the "Bonus Tracks". If they short-change us on the bonus material let's go over there and kick the crap out of them before we demand our money back!

Though it cuts into domestic sales, this makes me glad that I picked up the import, though that may not be the case for every one.

The domestic release of Retro DOES NOT have a bonus disc. That's a London Records promo deal - 3,0000 only. Happy hunting.

Didn't I read on this website that the domestic box would contain the bonus disc, too? Thanks again, Rhino.

Yeah. I ordered off of Amazon.com too when it was label with "bonus tracks", but I just looked again at the site a few minutes ago and it's now labeled simply "Retro [Box Set]". Big uh oh.

don't mean to piss on your parade....but I am sooooo frigging ecstatic that I ordered mine from HMV.co.uk at the bonus price of 16.99 pounds sterling...got the bonus disc...I'm not sitting here waiting on it...but instead have been enjoying it for a while now...

oh...sorry...I'm supposed to be sympathizing...uhm...sorry guys...it must suck to be y'all right now!!!

Yes it will... if you order if from Rhino or "selected vendors"...

But again.. this will cost you more than ordering a UK edition...!

My Amazon order shipped as well...the email said bonus tracks so I'm expecting to get BONUS TRACKS!!!

Also put in an order w/Rhino (one of the single best labels ever...I used to live in west LA and bought many of my early NO and other band vinyl in their home store...damn I miss that store)...

I've already got 2 copies with the bonus disc (Opal and HMV). One opened and in my car cd player and the other one unopened just as hooky predicted ;0

I ordered a second copy from Rhino solely for the bonus disc, after getting my first copy import through Siren.

I just recieved my box set in the mail an hour ago. No Bonus disk, that sucks. Amazon.com listed it as having extra track with the purchase. Obviously that didn't mean the Bonus disk. Did anyone else here who order from Amazon recieve a Bonus disc? Should I complain because there were no extra tracks?

I got my Amazon delivery as well w/o the bonus disc... oh well. Can't always get what you want. I'm a little tired of always searching for the elusive release that New Order puts out. If I find it, it'll be by luck, and for now I'll just be content with the live disc 4.

I ordered my Retro in Amazon.co.uk, and it didn't appear with the bonus disc in the despcription. I received the box set a couple of weeks ago with the bonus disc included, without any problem. Now I can breath much better...I really wanted the bonus disc.

OK here is my problem with this...

The back of the box clearly states RHINO!!!

the 1st 3000 sets from RHINO were supposed to include the disc. I have not recieved the Retro directly ordered from Rhino yet...but did get my Amazon one...with the Rhino insignia....

I bet that there is no Bonus Disc in the US and the Rhino rep just said that to ensure sets moved

errr...I'm sure there is...but the copy of retro that came to my doorstep two days ago (ordered in December) and with the Rhino label insignia on the back sure didn't have one!

I ordered mine from Rhino.com. Apparently this will be the only place you will be able to get the bonus CD from (other than the generous giveaway by the website). Anyway, I checked my order status again today and it said that my 4CD boxset was on Back Order, but that my Bonus CD was "In Process". So I guess they are waiting on the manufacturer to ship more boxsets so they can add the bonus disc to it and ship it....who knows?
