I don't know about you guys, but I'm so fed up with the long version of BLUE MONDAY. Don't get me wrong, it's their best song ever, but I would like to hear the single version. I'm looking for it on SOULSEEK, but no way of finding it. I always end up with the single version of the 88-version. Who can help me ??

Huh? Isn't the 7" version just an edit? The original single version is the one on Substance, no?, go buy it!

Yes, I know it's just an edit, but it never appeared on any CD. As far as I know, I mean. It's always the version of 7:25.

I think the single edit was only ever a very rare promo. Have you actually heard it?

Yes, I donwloaded it from the net. It's a Japanese edit, so it can't be that different from the UK-version.

I'm sure that - not counting the 1988 version, which was also a 7" - there was never officially a 7" edit of the orriginal Blue Monday - even the radio pluggers had to make do with the full 12" version.

Unless I'm wrong...

There was a UK and a Japanese promo, apparently. Don't see what the attraction is though. Its only the 12" with bits taken out. Just play the 12" and stop listening every now and then.

Yeah, I thought the original version of Blue Monday was only ever released on 12". This helped it become the biggest selling 12" of all time.
