Get Ready Survivor - Final Vote

I have voted for CRYSTAL and i like THIS format and think you should do more.The way the voting goes keeps it interesting and SOME very unusual results are given.This helps the forum to flow and keeps it interesting.Good idea,well presented and thanks for the effort!:D

Crystal wins by a nose - I think the intro on Primitive Notion is too long, causes the song to become less than perfect.

"Primitive Notion" gets MY vote too !!! Crystal is a perfect single and a definite NewOrder-classic, but Primitive Notion has that certain JoyDivision-vibe, to me it has more potential than most of the other new songs. dunno, maybe i like the less poppier side of NewOrder. "Behind Closed Doors" has a similar vibe to me...

Shit!!! I got things the wrong way & thought I was voting Primitive Notion to go. Anyway, since it's incredibly close between them from my perspective, and I could pick either on any given day, I'll stick with that for the winner.

And yeah, I love the concept. It gives a more realistic impression of the ranking for each song at the end than a simple poll, and has sparked off some interesting debate. One modification I would make is that no song should be allowed consecutive immunities, otherwise I think the immunities idea has seemed to work fine. It would be interesting to see something similar done for a well loved LP such as Technique or Low Life.

No immunities!!! What's the point? On Survivor immunities are earned.

I didn't make the rules you know...

Immunity is to make sure the song you like doesn't get voted off... and well, the last vote is a favorite vote between the last two standing.

Yes, it might end up the same way the "favorite" poll did.. but those are the rules of the "Survivor" TV Show ;)

But you could change the rules; like getting rid of immunity when it's down to three.

I agree...excellent format with only that little fault. The inmunity is ok, but not in the last three. I think that HTS could have defeated Crystal in the final vote.

Keep it comin' for Crystal.

Voted for Crystal which is just short of HTS for me.. but thems the rules.

As for them rules - you might want to chage them for the last 3 - you may not. But how about a Technique Survivor when Crystal has finished wiping the floor with primitive Notion ?

Primitive Notion for me also. There's no way in hell Here To Stay would beat Crystal. I didn't expect Primitive Notion to beat Crystal either but i think its their finest moment. The only thing resembling a "dark" track from them for ages. I love the synths, the drums, Hooky's bit and the vocals are as good as Bernard gets. It deserves to be mentioned with Sunrise, Crystal and Procession. It really is that good.

Loved Crystal when I first heard it, and I still rate it very highly, but I've been known to go for album tracks rather than cuts that have been singles, which is why I've voted for P.N. This one was almost as tough as the poll for worst Low-life song.

Low Life would be difficult. No bad song on that album.
