It has been sold to a "reseller" which is trying to do profit out of it.

Check yourselves:

http://www.neworderweb.com

And to quote them:

The minimum quoted price will be be at least $688, and could be as much as $10,000. We will only respond to serious requests that are complete and accurate. Any submissions with false or unverifiable information will be deleted.

I can't believe this.. I would have bought the domain to help the US fans who would type it in to get on a New Order site as well, but again, another slap in the face for the US New Order community (it's the email address written on the US releases!)

I tought Cyber-Squatting was kind of illegal in the US?

Does that mean that New Order hasn't got an "official" webpage anymore? Not impressed :nono:

Indeedy Jorge, I can't barely pronounce it meself but neworderretro.com is only a put up job like Getready.com was, I was thinking of a proper "official" webpage for the band.

It's kind of cool that they don't have an "official" site moderated by someone employed by a big evil record company, this way it's totally a fan thing, opinions aren't repressed and facts don't get doctored.

Really, New Order themselves are merely the musical branch of NOOL.

In fact, perhaps Spotnik should ask London if New Order want to become our 'official' band. Obviously they'd have to accept a certain amount of loss of independence - Retro to be immediately reissued with Love Vigilantes (as a hidden track), Get Ready ditto likewise without RTS, Barny to agree to never again to whoop during Atmosphere, etc.

But on the plus side they'd get all the advantages of having the inside scoop on the contents of our record collections, our opinions on cultural relativism, etc, as well as the occasional rarity compliation courtesy of Rocket Mick.
