I think Video 586 was definately groundbreaking, because E.G.G., Temptation, 586 and Blue Monday followed it, but it does tend to get boring after awhile. Blue Monday sounds more interesting because of Barney's lyrics and Hooky's bass (and his synth drums of course ;) )
I have to say Blue Monday. It's just everything that could possibly describe New Order. Video 586 is good though.
Just pointing out that EGG and Temptation (both 1981) pre-date Prime 586 (1982). EGG is really the first sequencer-type thing they did.
Blue Monday for sure, Though i really enjoy Video 5.8.6. for just being a cool experimental type track,

oh definitely! but Blue Monday (obviously) evolved out of Video 5 8 6 - hence my question. :)
