I was poking 'round the Picture Archieves today, and found a picture of Hooky and Barney's class (1969). Where are they?? I've been looking at it all night, but you know how it is...all Brits look a like to me ;)

OK Chris, I think I have it. Hooky - 4th row down, 6th from the right (the tall kid with straight hair). Barney - 4th row down, 3rd from the right (the small kid with black hair).
I agree with Ness. Barney & Hooky are next to each other (aaaaahhhh bless) 4th & 5th on the 3rd row down from the top, next to the strange blurry kid. That's really odd seeing Hooky looking like the smallest kid in the year. Having just seen the Japanese horror movie "Ring" that blurry kid scares the life out of me (if you've seen the film you'll know what I mean!).

Hey Ness - agree with you that Hooky is 3rd row down, 5th from left, great spot on your part. Not sure about your Barney, 'though. Can someone have a look at 4th row down, 3rd from right and let me know what they think. Cheers.

think it was from the 'rock family trees' doc from 97/98. great program. also had steve sayin he had to pay to get into the Hac and he stopped going because every time he went he spotted things that needed doing to the place.
awesome! i picked out hooky right away. he looks exactly the same! barney i couldn't get...he could have been one of several to me. but the more i look at his picture...yep. right on!

To Benny, Major T and Hacienda That; The blurry kid is Martin Gresty, a big pal of Barney and Hooky, who according to the Mick Middles book was offered a job on vocals in the very early days. Thank God he didn't accept as they might never have met Curtis and this website wouldn't have existed. The thought of Nidder Gresty fronting a band is almost as fantastic as Barney and Hooky becoming musicians 
The mate who played drums for a while was Terry Mason who later became a roadie/manager. I'll try and locate him on the bigger school photo when I have time.
To Dark Angel; The full photo is actually on the Old Sals website, you just need to click to either side to see it. I just made sure that the relevant section including Barney Hooky and me was on before I sent it to Ricardo who had asked me previously about it and who passed it on I do believe. Thanks Ricardo :)
