i had thought i recognised the man who played gollum in 'the two towers' (from seeing a documentary on the CGI in the movie), i just didn't know from where. then, while watching the 24 HPP DVD with the steve coogan/andrew eaton commentary this evening i was provided with the answer: andy serkis is our very own 24 HPP's martin hannett!
i'll be damned if i would have ever made the connection from the credits!
gollum hannett

I recognized the names, mostly due to the fact that 24HRPP and Two Towers were the only movies I've seen in the theaters over the last six months (working in a theater and seeing practically every movie for a 5 year period has dulled my thrill about going out to the cinema).
From this......

.....to this......

Nice trivia question in a few years, when you'll ask.. "What's the connection with New Order and the Lord of the Rings?" :D

Yeahh...but in a few years time everyone will go "Lord of the what?" ;)
& they said brando was a great method actor adding all that weight to play la motta in raging bull.
move over brando, there's a new kid in town.
He lives in a v.big house up the road from me. With Geraldine from Playing the Field. Mind, actors are two-a-penny in Crouch End; it's luvvies' heaven.

so, does he go around on all fours, climbing the sides of buildings and eating raw rodents? or does he walk the streets 'recording silence'? seriously though, i imagine he can live in relative anonymity considering, well, the pictures above and all.
he was robbed of an oscar nod for LOTR. robbed.
Cheers Agent Wood. Just saw 24HPP for the 1st time tonight (I know, sorry.... class film) & saw the name Andy Sirkis on the opening credits & thought "Wonder if that's the guy who plays Gollum?" Of course, never thought to look up LOTR DVD so thanks again.
