this has got to be a joke? is it really a proper remix if almost every part of the song is intact, same tempo, drums, guitar etc. sure they added a couple nice synth washes, but that doesn't do it for me.
what is everyone's opinion of NO remixes that don't really change the song..just cosmetic changes. ramble ramble. 
most people seem to complain when they change TOO much... that said, is this (petshopboy REMIX)a real remix, or just an internet hoax on mp3 made by some bored kid ... never heard of it
good point! it may just be a hoax but it is a 'remix' nonetheless. perhaps i should look into this one before i run my mouth! :)
yikes! it looks to be a hoax. but the same question remains about remixes with cosmetic changes. i can think of a couple moby remixes that fall into that category.
a while ago I downloaded the Mix labeled True Faith (pet shop boys remix). It sound like the razormaid mix from the hindsight cd i just got.

I've downloaded it as well but I think it's just the Shep Pettibone remix from "The Rest Of".
There are loads of bogus New Order files in the Internet. The most amusing one was a fake "Here To Stay" that was available before the single release. Someone even started a thread praising the fake track just to receive replies like "If this is New Order, I'm David Beckham's left testicle." 
Got my answer: PSB have never remixed NO. They were asked to remix Crystal but turned it down. This info is from Native on Aimoo - a London employee told him.
PSB eally make stupid decisions sometimes. *sigh*

Just the Shep Pettibone remix I'm afraid. Yeah, people on the 'net always have to bring up the NO/PSB connection for no real reason. I remember the first time I heard "GAWI" it was labeled as New Order and the Pet Shop Boys...as in ALL members 
My ex told me to d/l Special before I heard it. When the file was totally downloaded, it was hard techno. heh.. How did they mix those two up? Also, there is the Peter Mani remix of Regret, which is the full length original mp3 with a dance drumbeat and, I'm guessing, Peter Mani singing backup vocals. It's not bad though.. I'd reccomend it to anyone looking for a proper dance remix of Regret (the Saber/Fire Island-esque mixed never did it for me).
