Benny,Sebastien,Nicolas and fans clear me some doubts, please.

  1. Who´s the singer in "Doubts Even Here", Peter or Barney ?

  2. Is "Homage" a cover ? And who did write that ?

  3. Is "When I´m with You" a cover ? And who did write that ?

  4. Is "Love Juice" a cover ? And who did write that ?

  5. Is "The Ostrich" a cover ? And who did write that ? (I think it´s by Lou Reed.Am I right?)

  6. Is "Haystack" a cover ? And who did write that ?

  1. Actually, Hooky sings Doubts Even Here I'm pretty sure.
  2. Nope, original New Order material.
  3. Oh shit.. Yeah, it's not a New Order song, but who wrote it....
  4. I have never heard Love Juice... Anywhere online I can d/l it?
  5. The Ostrich is Lou Reed yeah.
  6. Never heard Haysteack either, can I get that anywhere online as well?

Completing Razed's observations..

  1. Hooky, surely? Though a lot of people seem to suggest otherwise. Never seen it live. Don't think anyone here has? So can't comment.
  2. New Order (3-piece).
  3. Sparks.
  4. Very Sh*te New Order. It's a 'jam', not a song.
  5. Lou Reed indeed.
  6. New Order (3-piece) with Kevin Hewick (kevinhewick.com) on vocals.

  1. Definitely Hooky, with Gillian's sultry spoken words at the end :)

I uploaded "Haystack" some time ago at http://sti.br.inter.net/rafernandes/haystack.mp3 and it's still there. There's more info about this song in this thread.

Hooky, no doubt about it - live versions are unmistakeable.

And Haystick was never credited as a New Order song either...

It's a Kevin Hewick (sp?) song, New Order played the music on it, but on "From Brussels With Love", not sure it's written to their name.. would need to check the discography.

They have a weird relationship with "Les Disques Crépuscules" from Belgium, maybe somebody can tell us why?!

Who are Sparks ? Never heard about them. One more doubt : -Who wrote "turn the heater on" ?( I mean the band or singer )

Sparks comprised brothers Ron & Russell Mael. They had some chart success in the 70's. "This town ain't big enough for the both of us" being their biggest hit. TTHO was a Keith Hudson song.

"Love Juice" is the single most over-hyped noise ever mentioned on here. It was a live encore jam at Auckland in 1985, and was most certainly not a new song. "Notable" only for the line "love juice smells like stale fish", it really isn't worth the hype.

Who knows the exact date the band started to be called "New Order" ?
