Whats you source of this, because as far as i have heard its still just a rumor at this stage
here's the official source. go to the official big day out web site and look under the "first bands confirmed" menu. You will find NO there. Tickets go on sale 19.10.01. I'll be buying mine straight away.

Caught the news on the phone from a fellow NewOrder-phile who was verging on catatonic..
Now that I've regained my composure, my first big questions:
Has anyone heard whether NO are doing ALL the Australian shows? There's no word on the official site as yet.
Because if they're not, I need to book some air tickets ASAP! And if air tickets are impossible due to the current air industry fiasco, I need to start planning a heck of a road trip..
Has anyone heard if they'll perform any non-BDO shows? Personally I doubt it but we can hope. Like crazy.

Seb/Nic- do you guys know something we don't? Why do you only list NewOrder appearing in Sydney and Melbourne on the news page? There are also BDO's in Auckland, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Do you have any news of their Australia/NZ schedule?

Depthy, I just added the rest of the dates. Don't worry, they ARE doing 6 dates: 5 in Australia, one in Auckland, New Zealand.

hey. i am planning on going to Australia early next year and thinking about going to the BDO when it's in Melbourne. Then i was wondering (cos that's what some of you were talking about in a previous topic) : do you have to buy your ticket a long time in advance to get one? Or is it okay if you buy it like... 1 month before?
Normally you would be safe buying a month in advance, but given the fact that New Order and Prodigy are headlining and both haven't played here in years, you'd be better off buying early. Every friend of mine here in Melbourne that I spoke to yesterday is planning on going, even though some of them haven't been to the BDO in years. There's definitely a buzz around and I'm buying my ticket the morning it goes on sale.
last year i bought my ticket about 3 weeks before with no problems at all, but this year im taking the morning off school to line up for a ticket, there is always an opportunity to get in for free aswelll, mates of mine do it every year, find somewhere in the fence to crawl through or climb over.
