Always considered LV to be ironic, pointing out that for all the "convictions" & "help from God" it matters not when you're 6 feet under.

It would have be Don't Do it as the most obvious one.
Consider Slow Jam through the eyes of a soldier.
LV is obviously ironic.
'Angel Dust' might be a good choice since it starts out with the muezzin call to prayer.
for some reason I think of Slow Jam (i don't want the world to change, i like the way it is) - not that there are not PLENTY of things that do need to be changed, but for some reason this song makes me feel it could be anti-war.
The album title "Power, Corruption and Lies" really does spring to mind in the context of current events.

I think Times Change would be the best. Love Vigilantes is not anti-war enough and too "sappy." I have never heard Don't Do It, though. The lyrics are definately appropriate.

love vigilantes--loss of innocence, loneliness on the front, etc.
but my all-time fave anti-war song has to be 'the war song' by culture club, 'cause when i think of a famous anti-war activist boy george always pops into my mind....
Listening to Angel Dust on the way to work this morning, and interpreting it as an anti-war song is really quite easy if you dont percieve it from a straightforward relationship perspective but instead a conflict between nations and cultures point of db boulavard!

Some of this rings quite eerily true for the current conflict that is hanging over us right now i reckon. The second verse does as well but im not gonna type that out!!!
I've decided to write my own war song for new order to record, called "whats the rush mr bush?".
I agree that Republic is the most anti-war oriented NO album, and the most topical song from it is probably Ruined in a Day. Also World (Price of Love).
