I'm think the bonus disc of RETRO should be sell apart from the recopilatory for everybody that have the RETRO without the bonus disc.

i have it with but i agree. limited availability is unfair on genuine fans who want the stuff but are unable, for whatever reason, geographical or otherwise, to get it.

you're right, the RETRO with bonus disc isn't avaiable in more countries, but is a very interesting disc and should be sell with RETRO since the first time.

i was just going to suggest that!

if they sold the bonus disc separately, then us folks who have the 5-CD box set wouldn't have the chance to feel smug. don't take that away from us, man.

Or better still how about a CD with more rare stuff on it - the bonus cd on Retro was an afterthought / panic measure anyway. We all know there are better tracks out there waiting for a CD release(haystack, theme, homage etc)

Tough one that, I nearly started this response with a paste form an online dictionary!

I suppose what I am trying to say is that the Retro bonus CD probably only contained (in my humble opinion) 1 track really worth having ('Elegia' full version), rather than yet more mixes (oh good, another version of 'Temptation'! not). The CD was thrown together as a last minute carrot to encourage the New Order fan with just about everything, and who was threatening not to buy the box set.

If they'd have been serious about a disc with something rare on there are tracks out there yet to be given a wider release such as the Western Works Demos (of real significance rather than another remix of True Faith) and the other tracks I mentioned and that feature all over the forum in various threads. Whilst I'm at it the 'bonus' disk isn't the only flawed one, the 'Live' one would have benefitted from some no-onliners picking it.

I certainly wouldn't dream of using 'better' as a value (if that's what you are hinting at), as we know there are people on this site with different opinions and these are to be respected (through gritted teeth though!). My 'New Order' is different to some other guy's (that includes the ladies as well)'New Order'.

I think that just about covers it.
