Yes, cry yours hearts out , this is absolutely true! No April Fool here, people! According to the Des Moines Musical Research Institute (Iowa, USA), "Temptation" "borrows" heavily from an obscure Elton John song written in 1959 and never released!

Really? I always thought it was John Denver again. Y'know, guitars, bass, drums - obvious rip-off.

elton john a bad musician? surely not. he may have strayed off the path and into some alternate soft rock dimension in his later years, but you can't listen to goodbye, yellow brick road and tiny dancer, for example, and tell me the man hasn't released some fabulous songs.

his best stuff is from 1969-1975, and he released, i believe, 10 or 11 albums during this time. some of his more popular songs i really like are: goodbye, yellow brick road, tiny dancer (one of my favourite songs ever), don't go breakin' my heart (with kiki dee), daniel, your song, rocket man, and crocodile rock. also, i'm still standing is pretty decent (from 1983, or whenever it was). he put out some good stuff in his day.

the only album i actually own by him is goodbye, yellow brick road, and i think it's fantastic.

And, as not everyone will know, there is no Des Moines Musical Research Institute. Dubbia closed it the second he came into the White House...
