New Order will headline Leeds Festival on Friday 22nd, then Reading Festival on Saturday 23rd. The Chemicals are also headlining both festivals - not sure of the dates but you won't get to see 'em anyways if you do both NO dates. Not sure who the third headlining band is.

There will almost certainly be a warm-up date in the preceding week, provisionally booked as Warrington Parr Hall on the Monday, though might possibly change.

I guess this is the rumoured 'three gigs' from Terry Christian's radio show?

The official announcement from Mean Fiddler, re: Reading/Leeds, is due later this week.

Get in there! :thumb:

I heard that Blur and Iron Maiden were headlining the Carling weekend.

I hope this NewOrder story is true, if it isn't I'll cry into a pillow or something.

A reason to dream of seeing New Order in Spain again. Every year the rumours say that they'll be headlining Benicassim Festival. Last year The Cure, in 1995, 96 and 98 Jesus and Mary Chain, in 1995 Stone Roses, in 2001 Pulp and James.

It's the New Order hour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being the cynical old dog that I am, I smell the Poisson d'Avril. :skeptic:

But like the Pavlov's dog I am, a small & foolish part of me can't help but hope this is legit ;)

I am beginning to fear I have been, again, proved Panglossian.

noooooooo!!!!!!! Dear God, don't let this be true...I won't be able to come over and lose another passport...damn the luck....

Having slept I have now come to the conclusion that this is an April fools joke after all but the difference is that it is all true! The joke is that nobody believes it. Brilliant. The Panglossian instinct returns.
