As requested, the full Run2 single in glorious 256 kbps :)

Run2 (3.38) written and produced by New Order, recorded by Michael Johnson, remixed by Scott Litt - download here - 6.66 MB

Run2 extended version (5.19) written and produced by New Order, recorded by Michael Johnson, remixed by Scott Litt, additional beats by Afrika Islam - download here - 9.76 MB

MTO (3.46) written and produced by New Order, recorded by Michael Johnson, additional production and remix by Mike 'Hitman' Wilson for Real House Productions, engineered by Chris Andrews - download here - 6.93 MB

MTO minus mix (5.23) written and produced by New Order, recorded by Michael Johnson, additional production and remix by Mike 'Hitman' Wilson for Real House Productions, engineered by Chris Andrews - download here - 9.89 MB

Check out the hip house/acid house wig-out on the MTO minus mix - totally cool (I hadn't played it for ages !).

I can't keep these up too long (say a week at most) as the extra encoding causes massive files. I will endeavour to re-encode them for those without broadband connections after a week, probably down to 128 kbps.

E$njoy, folks :)

Sounds good, clayts, cheers for posting those; very much appreciated. :) :thumb:

Thanks! :thumb:

The download is quite slow, so I guess a lot of people are leeching :nono:

Not for me....but then again, I am on an OC3 connection, so I can't remember the last time anything went slow for me.

:D

EDIT: Wow, why didn't they dub MTO as "KW2"?

I'm on a 2 meg link so these things come down in a matter of seconds for me. Heh heh heh.

I thought I would be in the upper crust of Internet users when I got Broadband. Oh how naive I am.

Is Run2 the name of the version of Run that was used in the promo video with the dancing, drumming gal? (I think she's hot, but then again, I'm allowed to)

Cheers Clayts - nice to have a clear digital version at last:thumb:

Now. Just how much better is that than the album version that got kicked out so early in the recent survivor game eh ?? :D

I guess so.. altough I don't think there is many differences between the album version and the single version of Run 2... the extended mix is different, but the single version?

I noticed some significant differences in the middle, Spotters old bean, particularly with Barney's and Hooky's instruments.

It was a revelation to play all four tracks again after such a long time - I reckon I only played it about twice : once when I bought it, and once again to record it onto cassette (blimey, them were the days).

I thought I would be in the upper crust of Internet users when I got Broadband. Oh how naive I am. Perks of the job. I recommend being a network admin any day - especially when you've got a decent boss who keeps you away from helpdesks. All the good stuff and none of the bad. I could donate some web space to this stuff (say a coupla hundred gigs) but I do like keeping this job. Soz.

I downloaded every song in under 5 minutes each, so it's you!

It's almost to good a recording, you can really hear the record player in it. I think my 128 copy is a bit better because I cant hear the record player.

I always believe in ensuring our younger fans enjoy the full-on vinyl expierence :)

For crying out loud, mate, I'll get Hannett to remix it next time
