just got a text off slug to say that some womans fashion programme he watches had the clash, then transmission followed by love is the key by the charlatans followed by close range as background music!

have checked the papers & it seems shug is a bit of a "what not to wear" fan

all i can say is he probably wasnt watching it before the chandos meet!

I've just watched the documentary about 25 years of Smash Hits shown on Channel 4 UK on Saturday and Transmission played over the bit where they were comparing the "adult" world of NME with the teeny world of SHits (for those unfamiliar, it's a glossy music magazine aimed at teenagers sold in the UK that only features glamorous pop stars).

this implies that you taped a smash hits documentary...

It was "great" seeing all the early 80s stuff again - Adam and the Ants, Bananarama, Culture Club, Duran Duran, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Spandau Ballet, Wham! if only to remember how camp (and crap, naturally) it all was in them days :kiss:

You can stick all of the newer Smash Hits bands up yer arse (Spice Girls and taTu aside, naturally )
