Hi!

I have yet to see this done, but I have wanted to sit down and write the words to this version of "Face Up" for some time now. After a few beers tonight, I decided to do so. Please feel free to help out me out.

Cause with you there is just the two of us and I know on our own it’s always been the same I known you since you were sixteen Between your legs I’ve always been I told you before you had a hairy twat But your hairy twat is like a fur twat and

Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you being like we used to be On our own just the two of us Now you left me all night long To serve my own, my very own oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you Leaving me on my own, just the one me Just be with me for the rest of my life

We thought of this for a few times now I like shagging you, but I also think you are a fucking fat cow, you got spots I go to someone else I know But even thou I love you I find with alone like I know I should You got a brain like a piece of wood and

Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you Loving you like I wish I would We always fought for each other --------------------------brother

I known you for such a long time now

This is the version online here (might contain errors)

Ever since I've seen your face This life of mine has gone to waste I was young and you were old And I always knew you were cold At the start you had a heart But in the end you lost your friend Can you see your own dark face? It's dieing in a lonely place

Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you I said, oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you

As we get old, we lose our place Reflecting back the world's disgrace I feel so low, I feel so humble Sometimes in life we take a tumble Don't let anybody tell you that you're no good Cause you know they would Don't let anybody tell you what you should do Cause it's not that way and...

Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you I said, oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you We were young and we were pure And life was just an open door I said oh, oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you

You were me and I was you This world of ours it felt brand new You took me a little further... I heard it all before, I've heard it all before I can't hear it anymore Your hair was long, your eyes was blue Guess what I'm gonna do to you

Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you I said, oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you We were young and we were pure And life was just an open door I said oh, oh, how I cannot bear the thought... Oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you I said oh, oh, how I cannot bear the thought of you We were young and we were pure...

Fac 7's version is the live debut version from Bradford Caesar's Palace 19/03/84 (or at least one of the early live versions). To begin with, Barney just made up offensive rhymes rather than proper lyrics !

It's so wonderful to discover that Barney was a closet mysogynist after all this time.... :D

Those lyrics sure leave a nasty taste in his(our) mouth.

Thanks to Benny  I have been enjoying the lyrics on the Hemel Hempstead 1985 gig version where Barney describes what he does to his loved one whilst watching BBC2!

Now BBC2 in the late 60's early 70's late on a Friday evening was a good source of material of a specific nature to interest young teenagers. My activities though were more individual in character :o
