Hi,

This was posted on New Order's USA website in the message forum. However, the site itself is terrible, with very little real info about the upcoming release of Get Ready. Can anyone confirm this information?

"As far as I know, the Reprise issue of Get Ready is basically the same as the versions everywhere else: but with some interesting differences: there will be a strictly limited digipak edition (not available in Europe: why the f*** not, Warners, huh???? HUH?? HUH??!!!) with the following track listing:

  1. Crystal (do-it-up-tight mix): 6.54
  2. 60 Miles An Hour (Paul van Dyk Ibiza Arsey Trance mix): 14.26
  3. Turn My Way (egghead Remix): 5.55
  4. Vicious Streak (stereolab-up-yer-arse-mix): 10.06
  5. Primitive Notion (p.x.l. edit): 2.28
  6. Right Here* (*the Chemical Brothers collaboration that didn't make it to the final UK release - aren't you the lucky ones!!) 7.13
  7. Slow Jam 5.26 Rock the Shack (skunkweed mix) 12.30
  8. Someone Like You (dry version) 4.43
  9. Close Range (dudu tucci country and western mix) 4.14
  10. Work That Sucker To Death (pee-funk mix) 7.27
  11. Run Wild 4.00

hope that clears things up for you."

First I had heard of anything like this. I hope this is accurate but it seems like too much and no one else has mentioned anything like this.......

My guess is that was a joke.

Originally posted by M.C. Yes, I thought so too. The mix names seem a bit silly, made up. But then I saw a listing for Get Ready (bonus track) at CDNow.com for $39.49 due for release 10/16, the day of the US release. What is that??http://www.cdnow.com/cgi-bin/mserver/SID=1531690141/pagename=/RP/CDN/FIND/discography.html/ArtistID=NEW+ORDER

It's the Japanese edition with Behind Closed Doors...

Quite, M.C. I checked out that site as well before joining up with this - far superior one - there didn't seem to be much enthusiasm amongst their readers did there? Each topic averaged only about 3 replies.
But I have to tell you, I saw that one too! That's why I was pissing meself laughing when you brought it up in full in your quote..... As you can see, I think I made the right decision sticking with this message board

  • it's SO much more fun!

You know it's a fake if they start posting song titles from John Denver lps in the album order......

  1. Annie's Song (Some Old Sod remix, 12:30)
  2. Leaving on a Jet Plane (Arman Hammer remix, 4:39)
  3. West Virginia (Puff Daddey toke, 1:23)
  4. And so It Goes (Slimboy Bucolic remix, 14:57)

Okay that's all the John Denver song titles I'm willing to admit I know (the last one was an album title I pinched, but I'm sure he wrote some terrible song to go with it)
