my dad has this old LP called 'the baroque beatles'. it's an album of beatles' covers done in baroque style--harpsichord and all. it's absolutely hilarious.
i was thinking about what NO songs scream to be given the 17th-century treatment. my top choice: 'all day long'. any other suggestions for a 'baroque order' album?

at a flea market i saw something similar...it was a double vinyl of the star wars soundtrack covered by the moog orchestra of london(!!)...

I was once messing around on a synth in a Guitar Center. (With no intention to purchase of course.) I played a bit of subculture using strings for the bass line (the low synth line, not "bass" guitar line)and harpsicord for the melody. It sounded pretty good. I can also make Decades sound nice and orchestral, thought I wouldn't call it boroque.
It could end up like the Joy Division one done by Nau Ensemble. Alternately moving and hilarious.
