Does anyone know if they are intending to make a movie on Joy Division? I have seen links hinting at it, but they are dead links. Any info would be great... Thanks

So does that mean that there is a movie in the works about Joy Division? One in which New Order remakes a New Order track??

there was no information at Double A films website. That is the production company that bought rights to the film. I hope they move forward with it.

I heard they found a director for it and were in pre-production on it right now, but who knows? Knowing the movie industry, they might be hesitant to make the movie so soon after "24 Hour Party People." But, then again, Hollywood does like to cash in by releasing pairs of movies at the same time about the same subject matter.
At any rate, some time a good while while ago, after I'd read Debbie Curtis' book and first that heard the movie rights had been sold, I had a dream in which I was chosen to be the director of the project. As a movie fanatic and a big JD fan, I must say it was quite literally a dream job.
After waking up, I began to think about how to approach that idea some more, and hopefully one day I'll get around to writing a screenplay for the movie--although by that time, I'm sure it will probably have been released. I just hope the professionals don't screw it up too badly. If I ever finish a script for it, I'll be sure to make it available to those of you on the forum so you can tell me what you think.
I thank everyones input - I do hope to find out one day that there will be a release of a film... And if I hear anything at all I will be sure to post it hear. Again thanks -
