damn, I'd love to meet up with y'alls in Seattle since I'm about 80 miles away--but the tragedy is that I won't be of "legal drinking age" for five months come July. what terrible luck on my part. but up in Canada, on the other hand.... (maybe a swing through vancouver?) just kidding.

I'm going to Seattle???

WTF???

I've been looking into tix, mostly from brokers, and all that I've checked have a limit of 4 per purchase, so yes, looking into those is a good thing. Also didn't know if you were still having a sidekick on your trip who wouldn't mind paying about 100$ for a third level seat ( I wasn't planning on spending 300$+ for lower level seats, dunno bout you).

like Jeff said, I found a guy who has 10 together, but that was wednesday...they may be gone now....but he had 24 total at the time, just 10 was the largest lot together...he wants to sell in even numbers...i need 3, Jeff needs 2...so we still need at least 1 more person....but hopefully more!!....and he only wants $75 each for them...they are on the west goal side...row N...let me know if anyone wants these and i will give you the guys email...i will tell him to make sure we are all together!!...but I dont think we can wait much longer or they will have been sold...Im thinking no later than Thursday of this week.

There would be one each for me and Shug (apparently Don wants to sit with the ManU side, and has already secured a ticket). Biznotic Love Trapezoid (Brian G.) has also indicated to me that he would love to sit with us, but I haven't heard from him lately. Tickets to the ManU/Celtic match went pretty quickly, but I still have been checking the local brokers.

BTW Shug, looks like Celtic is making a new stop, in Cleveland on the 25th against AC Milan, according to this

I was at a club recently with a friend, and she lit up some cloves there, and no one said anything. But, honestly, I like NYC better than Philly, eventhough there's that law in NY, despite I drew up in the latter.

Thanks for sticking up for me guys! I just moved here from TX, I don't go to evergreen, I'll be going to Seattle U in the fall. As for the treehuggers..well my friends from tx have warned me to be careful, as apparently they tend to be a lil friskier than the rest. Have yet to encounter that!

I'm just having a little fun. Some of my friends go to Evergreen. I go to Western up here in Bellingham myself, so we also have quite the reputation for being a bunch of hippies. And we do have a college here (Fairhaven) that is roughly the same sort of "alternative" learning facility when it comes to certificate-style degrees. As for my "Robert Smith fascination," let's just say it's not especially fostered up here, as I've been forced to make Cure fans instead of find them.

I'm in the same situation. I'm 19 - obviously below drinking age - but would like to meet some of you in NYC. Is there any place where I can meet some of you and get in, even if I'm carded? For that matter, is there anything that "minors" can do in NYC?

But we'll definitely be out on our first Saturday in America. Hopefully some of you lot over there can come up with a few ides....cos if it's left to moi - we'll be drinking in all the Irish Bars:D Celtic have one of their main CSC's over there, New York Celtic Supporters Club, they meet up in a place called "The Parlour" I willl definitely be stopping there for several shandies when we're over:beer:

As a good Irish-Catholic lass, I never drink, so as a result I'm usually drunk by one or two beers, its pretty sad!! I guess I'm a cheap date tho! Now PIP, on the other hand who is also a good Irish-Catholic lass, can drink any of ya'll under the table. We try to honor our Irish Ancestors but I usually just end up passed out on the bathroom floor. So do any of you Seattleites know of any good bars downtown? I just moved here and am not quite in the loop yet.

Do Irish bars card you, even if you obviously look underage? I've basically got bernard sumner aging syndrome, and I look like I'm 16, eventhough I'm 19. Just to get into 18+ clubs while I was living in Boston, I had to show both my state ID - I don't drive yet - and my college ID.

As a good Catholic lad - it's not often you'll see me celbrating on the 12th of July:evil4:

But we'll definitely be out on our first Saturday in America. Hopefully some of you lot over there can come up with a few ides....cos if it's left to moi - we'll be drinking in all the Irish Bars:D Celtic have one of their main CSC's over there, New York Celtic Supporters Club, they meet up in a place called "The Parlour" I willl definitely be stopping there for several shandies when we're over:beer:

Seriously though, will there be any sort of fraternizing in Seattle outside of drinking establishments and the football match I don't have tickets to? Otherwise, I won't make the trip.

my understanding of the Seattle trip is this : wake up, drink, eat, drink, dance, drink, drink, drink, fall down, drink, sleep....times at least 7 days....with the footie match thrown in there somewhere...and some of us may take a trip to Canada...to drink no doubt...and Im sure we will see some of the sites...the Space Needle is across the street from our hotel, and the monorail is beside it...but mostly it will be drinking!!! and meeting the other NOOLers....and as far as fraternizing  , well you just never know..hehehehe....am I wrong guys?

Hotel sounds like it's right there near the Seattle Center. Should be easy to find. I don't know the sites down there too well, but I know some. Maybe there are some smaller concerts going on in town that week? I'll check the papers.

But Canada?! Hells yes, if people are going to the big white north, I'm so there. Drinking age is 19, baby! It's only about 20 min. from where I go to school now, so only about 50 min. from my summer home.

Either way, I'm not very far from either Seattle or Canada--sandwiched in between actually. So defintely keep me posted.

Yeah, but the best craic is with the best supporters in the world......and that certainly aint the Mancy crowd:moon:

Laura & Pip, Irish or not, we're gonna be visiting KELLS in Seattle, it's an Irish Pub / Restaurant, and it's where all the Celtic supporters in Seattle meet up to watch all the games during the season. As for TVR's, they're not HARD or CLEVER, but they sure do get you pished as fuck:lol: I will be sticking to lager when we're over. It also reminds me to get in touch with Brian Go.....he's not been around a lot recently, I think he's a wee bit scared that he's invited Me and Don to stay:nod: Churchy I haven't got a scooby whether you'll get served beer, but yer guaranteed to look older than Donnie Boy:evil4:

boston is notorious for its tough underage drinking policy, but in NYC there are a bunch of irish bars you can go to that won't card you. of course, many the ones i know are in the parts of the city the tourist guides tell you to avoid (north of 96th street and in alphabet city), but so few places card in the city, unless you're on the upper east side, financial district or somewhere like times square (where you won't be hanging out anyway because its lame), that i wouldn't worry about it. best to drink in the village or upper west side. but don't worry about being carded! it's new york for christ's sake! if you get carded somewhere (which is unlikely), the next place will let you in. trust me! i did it for three years!

That's.. absolutely awesome.. I ought to take the bus up to NYC more often. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it up to NYC for that weekend since I work every day during the weekend, including Friday nights.

Hmmm. If you want company let me know. I have no idea what I'll be doing in late July but I'm in SD/LA and I might be up for a road trip, provided we seem unlikely to kill each other. How's that for an opener? :D

There's shorter ways, but the Pacific Coast Highway must be driven at least once in your life. So Chunks, which VW do you use?
