Frown from Hookey?

During the Brixton 11th Oct gig I managed to get a front barrier position and I was totally shocked and knocked back to receive a long stare and frown from old Hookey! (during Bizarre Love Triangle I think it was). A girl standing next to me got a smile as well! (does he hate male fans or summat?) I guess this happens often at NO gigs?

Most people know if they've seen NO live that Hook likes to move around the whole stage and often to the very front showing off his low-slung bass solos.

I had a good mind to tell him (not that it would have been possible) that I'd seen the previous nights performance and I'd seen Monaco in 1997!

Does anyone who went to the Friday Brixton gig know what was written on Hooks Bass Cabs? some wag sprayed "Apples" on one cab and "Pears" on the other. At the Thursday performance the joke was "Heaven" and "Hell". Call me sad but I thought I might complete the Trilogy.

I got the smile... maninly because i winked at him, and he seemed to be amused by it! Hooky Rocks...

He's just doing his "'Ooky the 'ard man" routine. It used to be quite menacing, but now he's knocking on its just hilarious. I'd call it camp but he might come round and beat me up.....

The graffiti on Friday read 'Happy Birthday Jessica' which I believe is his daughter?

yea, it started off as "More" "Bass" when Arthur Baker was mixing, but changed to a dedication to Hookys Daughter who he sent a special dedication out to on Fridays Gig.

Yep, it was Jessica's birthday. Three years old. And in the beginning she was there too, on the stage. Hooky made fun with her. She really enjoyed it.

I yelled "Happy Birthay" and Hooky reacted (thanks or so?).

Could see all this, 'cause of standing in front row....!

Hooky was in topshape if you ask me. It was nice to see him have such a good time with the audience. I was right upfront as well and i must say i got a few friendly smiles from him. So i don't think he doesn't like the male part of the audience , he's just a very nice fellow. Now i had some substances in my brains last fridaynight and i remember hooky doing the intro from Dreams Never End just before leaving stage for the first time( gave me the shivers), but i can't exactly recall what the second one was that he did. He did one , that i know for sure.
