I'm making a complilation of New Order (and side-projects) tracks since 1993's Republic. My rules are that I won't include anything already on one of the regular albums or any mixes. I'm interested in whether anyone has any thoughts on what I should include. My tentative track-listing is below. Did I miss anything important?

CD 1 - New Order b-sides, demos, singles and misc

Here to Stay Vietnam Brutal Behind Closed Doors Player in the League Such a Good Thing Sabotage (Run this River Dry) Run Wild (pre-mix version) Someone Like You (pre-mix version) Tempation 98 Let's Go (1995 version) Regret (TFI Friday) Transmission (Peel 40th Anniversary)

CD 2 - New Order Live Sessions

Slow Jam (Lamacq Session) Close Range (Lamacq Session) Your Silent Face (Lamacq Session) Rock the Shack (Lamacq Session) Crystal (Jools Holland) 60 MPH (Jools Holland) Love Will Tear Us Apart (Jools Holland) Regret (Jools Holland) Paradise (Peel Session) Isolation (Peel Session) Atmosphere (Peel Session) Touched by the Hand of God (Peel Session) True Faith (Peel Session)

CD 3 Electronic - B-sides, Live Sessions & Sumner collaborations

Imitation of Life New Religion All That I Need I Feel Alright Turning Point Warning Sign King for a Day Radiation Haze (Jo Wiley) Vivid (TFI Friday or TOTP) Out of My Leaque (Jools Holland) Second Nature (Jools Holland) Chemical Brothers - Out of Control Sub Sub - This Time I'm Not Wrong

CD 4 Monaco & The Other Two

Monaco - Bicycle Thief Monaco - Ultra Monaco - Shattered Monaco - Comin' Around Again Monaco - You Should be Dancing Monaco - Smoothie (demo) Monaco - Microbes (demo) Monaco - The Wilding (demo) Monaco - Glass Box (demo) Monaco - Barfly Monaco - Heaven 7 Monaco - Tender (GLR Radio Session) Monaco - What Do You Want From Me (live) The Other Two - Satisfied

Crystal PreMix has an extra bass bit from Hooky..needs to be included...also found as a B-Side to some release...not sure but i think it's an Austrailian promo

Digital Live Brutal Live although what you have compiled is pretty good

Thats a very nice compilation!! :D

But some of the stuff is off tv programmes from some while ago, the sound quality will be a bit pants unless you have grade1 recordings and a way of eliminating the background hiss you get of videos...

Well personally I always felt that "Here to Stay (Felix Da Housecat-The extended glitz mix" was the best remix of that single in particular. I thought it should of made Retro. It's on the "Here To Stay" Single with the 6 tracks (5 remixes and player in the league).

That's a good suggestion - If I can't find anything else that I've missed, I'll include some standout live tracks to fill the extra space. First on the list will be the Joy Division covers. I have a couple of good Monaco live tracks. I seem to recall some of the Cologne tracks being pretty good because of Barney's introductions of the songs.

Are there any other standout live tracks from the 98 shows or the last tour?

I haven't hears all the Here to Stay mixes - I'll have to listen to it. I wasn't going to include any remixes but it looks like there will be extra space on my compilation. Perhaps I should just do a fifth "bonus" disc with the best mixes since 1993.

Yes, it's totally rebuilt by Arthur Baker...

I just pulled out my Nineteen63 single and listened to the 95 Arthur Baker radio remix and the 94 Album versions back to back. I completely agree that the newer version is a different, better song.

Excellent - it must go on my compilation.

Thanks for pointing that out. I've had that single 1995 and I've never really noticed that. Incidently that's a big reason I'm making the compilation - so I can put three or four discs in my cd changer instead of 20 singles.

Another question - wasn't there also a mix of Crystal that had additional lyrics?

One more thought - If I'm going to include Nineteen63 should I also include the 1995 Love Will Tear Us Apart Permanent Mix? To my ears it sounds much different than the original.

Yes there is, but I'm sure you don't have them.... :D

I'll probably include it since I don't count compilations as "real" albums. Oh I buy them sure - but I never end up playing them.

I'll listen to Blue Monday 95 and the True Faiths tonight. I'm trying to stay away from including mixes but I'm okay with it if the result is something that stands on its own as a new song.
