Hooky's bass guitar

does anyone know what make and model hooky's bass is? i'm talking about the 5 stringed black one(?) he uses on stage - reference finsbury park 02 (5:11 dvd). anyone know?

It has 6 strings, and is (according to the manufacturers) technically not a bass but a "baritone" guitar, but it really is a 6 string bass, tuned an octave below a guitar (unlike almost all other 6 strings which have at least one string tuned below usual bass range...usually a B) It's a Shergold and they are very proud of our Pete...see... www.shergold.co.uk My mate has a 4 string modulator ( Hooky originally had a modulator6) and it is incredibly loud compared with other basses he owns, it also makes a unique sound, though it isn't terrifically easy to play. His other bass ( the les paul lookalike semi) is an eccleshall.

just noticed that on the montreaux gig, he does indeed play a 5 on "world" and "everyone everywhere". Think it's a musicman 5 string

Mine is a crafter junior, cheap as chips, 20 fret bass.
