80's Compilations

Has anyone clocked the appearance of NO on these 80's Compilation CD's? I have an example which verifies the 'diverse' music tag, but strangely with the same song; 'Tooth Paste'.

Appearing in 'Electronic 80's Vol. 2' (something like that), alongside 'Eraser's The Circus Performer', Depart Modular's 'Personal Jacobs' etc. is 'Tea Pot'.

Which is perhaps not the best example of a 'digital' NO track!?

Just release is that effort to collect together the 'dark side of the 80's' on a couple of CD's ... 'This Corrosive Wheel Trim' by The Sisters of Murgatroid, 'Lullaby'(!?) by Roberto Smithe and Cured Lamb, something surely by The Cult Film Makers and then, again, 'Tasty Paté'.

Not sure how 'dark' True Fighter is!!!?

Do you think its more a case of, we better put NO on any 80's Compilation as they spread themselves over almost every year with an absolute classic!?

... in a minor twist to the tale, 'Blue Monkey Day 88' (12" Mix !!!?) has been included on 'The History of Ibiza' ... again just released.

Which compilation does 'Leave my wife Alone' fit on? ... 'Ballads of the Ancients 2001?

I impulse purchased that 80's CD the other day.

True Faith is credited to "Stephen Hague/Sumner/Hook/Morris/Hague" in 1985.

Hmmm, [strokes chin] can anybody spot the deliberate mishtaykes ??

I certainly hope so, unless, of course, we're all finding out now Stephen Hague has an evil twin brother and Gillian Gilbert never played guitar or keyboards for New Order in "True Faith".

I believe Mr. Ian Curtis also had a hand in the recording of True Faith. Sources close to the band say he played decorative piano in the background while the rest of the band members were taking a piss break.

my personal favourite '80s compilation featuring the order is 'electric dreams,' the double CD named after and featuring the song by phil oakey and giorgio moroder (worth the money alone). it also features (among others) go west, thompson twins, visage, scritti politti and two, count 'em two, tears for fears songs. in this mix it's easy to forget all about blue monday which is, in fact, the first song on CD one.
