I for the longest time have been looking for other people that have met a member of the band (by going to a concert, writing them, crazy antics) and had a blast with one of or all members. My story is in my profile...Technique tour, Mesa Arizona, met Peter Hook, drank Corona's (actually I met him at a small club in Phoenix the night before the concert and he gave my girlfriend and I aftershow passes). What a blast to meet Peter...I ended up giving him the front plate off of my car [NuOrdr] and lore has it it ended up in his studio....let's hear your story.

The band gave me a signed single (12" vinyl, which I have never played since I never owned a turntable). I will take a picture of it and post it on my insurance website here in the next few days! I also have a poster from the club I met Hooky at. Not that I would sell it...but what would a signed album be worth???

I recall an interview for Jack magazine where Hooky said it has been throwed at him during a gig.

This picture was on the front cover of NME back in around 93

and wasnt the headline "is this the end of the road..?"

I USED to have this magazine, i think the article talked about how much they hated each other and were going to split up!

No...this is not mine. I was living in Arizona. I have seen this picture several times, mine was [NUORDR] from Az. I know...I have a picture of me and my car when I was visiting in CA...I will post it here by 6/13/2003.

Well I was really lucky...I had my girlfriend C.L. with me both times I met Hooky. She had (has) many great assets in the looks dept. 36C-26-32 and a wild personality. Yes, I did write to the band, but I am sure that it was C.L. that really got us the AfterShow passes. My friend G. and his buddy did not get AfterShow passes (ended up while waiting for us), they did get in to the show free with my girl and I though.

The modern rock station in San Francisco had a morning "personality" named Alex Bennet; he did a lot of talking and comedy (more cerebral stuff- not the crap that's out there today), interspersed with a modern rock tune every now & then.

I met Bernard and Johnny Marr at a Warner Bros meet and greet for the first Electronic album. No booze at the event though. It was weird, only about ten people and Electronic just standing around. It might have gotten a bit more interesting if they had a keg or something.

PIP, I'm in Plano too. We need a good record store in this town! I guess Bill's is pretty good but I have a hard time with his dartboard style pricing sometimes.

Yeah, I've heard a few stories too. :) I really need to explore some more record stores around Dallas. I used to be so good about that when I lived in other cities.
