Anyone else heard this gem from 84/85? Barney plays ace Chic guitar all over it and co-produced it with Donald from ACR. Lovely stuff, a bit like an early BLT, hmmm

What's happened to Barney as a producer these days, too busy getting the pies in?

Yeah, this was mentioned a few days ago on the thread about film references. Its an absolute belter! The synth and drum pattern are a definate doff of the cap in New Order's direction as well. I have it on a compilation album called "The Quick Neat Job", first track of which is "Theme" by New Order.

Was Paul Haig In Josef K, or am I thinking of someone else?

Yes it was him from Josef K. I've got the only truth 12 inch which is a nice item to have. It's so Blue Monday-like! Sumner also co-produced and played on the Haig LP which can out around that time the name of which escapes me.

Yep, I've got this. Had a very Factory sleeve as well. Incredibly long drawn out finale to it!

A brilliant record. Surfaced late 1984 and was one of the lost 45's from that year. You can feel Barney's impact as the song gloriously loses itself in the same way the 12" of The Perfect Kiss did. Paul Haig also performed at The Hacienda pre Acid House when it was really strugling to pull.
