For one of three copies of New Order live at Echo Beach, San Francisco 24/06/83 (today 20 years ago), answer this question.

Where did Perfect Kiss make its 100th known live appearance ?

There is a right answer. Here's a clue. It didn't appear there the last three times they played this venue.

Have they only ever played The original Perfect Kiss live?

What about the various mixes of it ie: pit, kiss of death etc.. or do they just "remix" it each time they play it live (as they so often do with other songs...!)

Four versions - the early version May-June 84 that had different sequencer line at start. Second version was the one commonly played between July 84 and 1989. Third version was played as a one-off at Salford University 1985 (I think this could almost be considered to have been The Kiss of Death). Fourth version was the 1993 version that omitted the beginning.

Only one of the sequencer tracks kicked in, the second melody line that underpins the song - and Gillian wasn't playing the chords at the start. Gave it a very Kiss of Death feel. I'll see if I can dig it out tonight and convert it to MP3.

the hotel was the Intercontinental Rio and the guy´s surname was Da Silva. i never knew his real name. you know how brazilians are. they keep calling them for their nicknames such as Pelé, Rivaldo, Alemão..... :D

The hotel was Pelotas Palace.

checked the scores today & your winning in the 1 day (though i got more than you this week - thanks mr harvey!) & i'm winning the test & county - looks like neither of us want to take responsibility for opening up a big lead on the other though...
